Stuck In Thailand

Recommended Posts

Hello all

I left the u.k. 7 years ago and I hope someone can give us some advice

1. Having sold my house. (not recommended)

2. Using money we built a house in Thailand. worth about 8 million baht

3. We have been married for 5 years now

4. We both want to go back to u.k. together

5. We have no relatives or friends in the uk to support us

6. We have no bank account in the uk But have one in Thai Bangkok Bank

7. But we do have 127,000 in cash after we sell our Thai house - this more than enough to cover our exspensives and not be a burden on the u.k tax payer. While we look for a work - surely this is the big issue

8. My wife needs a settlement visa.

9. I resigned from my job to come to Thailand - and hopefully get another.

Any advice or help would be gladly appreciated, thank you

Hi, I was in the same situation as you, No bank account in the Uk, No house in the Uk, No funds in hand apart from a 1000 pounds and a job to go back to, I got the scouser to do my visa preparation because of how complex my app was.and i got mt settlement visa. I would give him a post and ask for guidance he sponsors this forum Davies/Khan check him out, and dont worry where theres a will theres a way. Good luck if you need more info give me a private post and we can chat over the phone. Marshall

If you will have £127,000.00 in the bank, this will be sufficient for the purposes of maintaining yourself and your wife until such a time as either of you finds work. You could also state in your covering letter that although you have no accommodation in the UK, with the savings you have, it is a reasonable proposition that your wife won't need to rely upon public funds for a place to live.

Scouse.
