Pattaya Beach Services On Strike

If you looked at Pattaya Beach today July 1, you must have noticed there was not a single installed umbrella. Apparently they were on strike, protesting some new rule the city is trying to impose on them. It may last awhile, depending who will decide they lost enough revenues...

So much for Pattaya as a "beach resort." Was Jomptien beach also affected? How about Koh Larn?

Jomtien beach was operating as usual yesterday, although not very many punters.

UPDATE: Today July 2, Pattaya Beach was still empty. Koh Larn is operating normally.

I am popping down for the weekend. I hope the strike by the 'service' people is still on. It will be (almost) like the good old days.
