Bus Or Train From Pattaya To Chonburi?

I need to go from Pattaya to Chonburi this Saturday and possibly Sunday.

Can anyone provide information on the best way to get there and back?

I suspect the aircon buses from Pattaya Nua don't stop there?

Just go to the side of the road heading towards Pattaya. Coaches will come along beeping their horns, jump on and pay your 40 baht(or so). If you are at the Central Festival, just cross the road via the elevated footpath.

some of the pattaya nua buses take that route other s go straight up the 7. ask plenty go the leam chabang, chonburi route.

Blue and orange are local buses with frequent stops.

only 2 or 4 trains a day - no option.

I saw many of these white blue and orange buses, all were labeled with "pattaya bangkok". no idea where to get on though.

Update on this

I went to Chonburi on the said day.

Many buses drive from Rayong/Sattahip to Chonburi/Bangkok and they use Sukhimvit Road.

The colors are more or less the same, mostly involving blue and white, their routes are written on the side of the bus, sometimes the front.

All buses I saw were air-conditioned.

There seem to be fixed stops in Patts, at least Pattaya Tai, Pattaya Klang and Pattaya Nua, every time near or at the pedestrian overpasses.

Other fixed stops used are the stops built by the Lions Club.

It seems every bus has its own pricing, somewhere between 60 and 80 baht from Pattaya to Chonburi.

There are no ticketing booths, you pay inside the bus. You don't get a ticket either.

The buses are SLOW.

It took nearly two hours to get to Chonburi from Pattaya Tai.

Around lunchtime, Sukhumvit road can have heavy traffic and traffic jams, so if you have a motorcycle, I suggest you drive it until the stop at Pattaya Nua, you will save about 20 mins.
