The estimated damage from these counterfeit goods exceeds 5 million baht. The suspects, identified as Mr. Ruangchai, Mr. Panyawat, and Ms. Chotika, were charged with "possession of goods for sale bearing counterfeit trademarks of registered brands in the Kingdom." The confiscated counterfeit items included: 1. 514 counterfeit oil filters 2. 359 counterfeit spark plugs 3. 252 counterfeit car lock keys 4. 60 bottles of counterfeit gear oil 5. 952 counterfeit brake sensor cables, air filters, and other spare parts 6. 725 boxes of counterfeit bearings The raids were conducted at the following locations: 1. A residence in Ban Khlong Suan Subdistrict, Phra Samut Chedi District, Samut Prakan Province 2. A residence on Ratchadaphisek Road, Din Daeng District, Bangkok 3. A residence in Sikan Subdistrict, Don Mueang District, Bangkok 4. A spare parts shop in Ban Luak Subdistrict, Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province The operation stemmed from prior investigations by the ECD, following complaints about the sale of counterfeit auto parts bearing trademarks of several well-known brands. These counterfeit goods were being sold openly in various locations. The police subsequently obtained search warrants from the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court and conducted raids at the identified locations, leading to the discovery of the counterfeit items listed above. The suspects were informed of the charges and taken into custody by ECD officers for further legal proceedings. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities plan to expand their probe to identify other individuals or networks involved in this illegal trade. The operation was carried out under the supervision of Pol. Lt. Gen. Jiraphob Bhuridej, Commissioner of the CIB, Pol. Maj. Gen. Phutthidet Boonkapue, Commander of the ECD, and Pol. Col. Weerapong Homhual, Superintendent of Subdivision 1 of the ECD, who directed the team led by Pol. Lt. Col. Natthawut Pomngern, along with other officers from the ECD. The authorities are committed to continuing their efforts to combat economic crimes and protect consumers from counterfeit goods. -- 2024-09-01 Get the ASEAN NOW daily NEWSLETTER - Click HERE to subscribe -

Gummies don’t work – so what can I try next .
Thanks @stoner. I’ve said a few words on the subject as an anti-hero, in an industry that I am a staunch advocate of in all ways except for lies. We are at an ‘event horizon’ with cannabis; research dollars are pouring in everyday, in both public and private partnerships. Soon enough we will understand all the pharmacokinetics of all the cannabinoids and secondary metabolites of cannabis. BUT until then… …The science does not support the internet/social media claims at present. The claims range from the sublime to the ridiculous, and I explain all the whys. I have written a few things on this forum, and have included a few links. If you want to go in further depth, look at my posts……or not. To address the post about CBD and Sleep, here is an extract from a similar post: ”Using CBD as a sleep aid is a “movement” magnified on social media. Because it has anti-anxiety effects it has been co-opted as a sleep aid and this is the furthest thing from the truth. It has more placebo inducing sleep effect than the CBD itself. It is NOT a sleep aid. The anti-anxiety effect only works in the presence of THC. CBD modulates all the effects of THC, not being able to bind to Endocannabinoid receptors on its own. ” Required strength CBD oil for a good night sleep CBD products don't ease pain and are potentially harmful, study finds Required strength CBD oil for a good night sleep cont. -

Two Separate Deaths From Wide Elephant Attacks
Picture from the Chonburi attack. A 60-Year-Old Rubber Tapper Trampled to Death by Wild Elephant in Chonburi The incident that occurred at 07:30 on August 31, when a 60-year-old man lost his life after being trampled by a wild elephant in a rubber plantation located in Khlong Phlu Subdistrict, Nong Yai District, Chonburi Province. Pol. Lt. Prasat Amornpannapong, Deputy Inspector (Investigation) of Nong Yai Police Station, was informed of the incident and quickly proceeded to the scene with the Silatham Foundation rescue team. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of Mr. Narong Panakul, aged 60, lying in the middle of the plantation. The victim had sustained multiple fractures throughout his body. Large elephant footprints were found around the area, indicating the terrifying moments before his death. Ms. Meekaew, the 45-year-old wife of the deceased, recounted the harrowing experience. She explained that she and her husband had set out early in the morning to tap rubber, working on opposite sides of the plantation. While she was busy at work, she suddenly noticed her husband running and shouting for help, closely pursued by a large wild elephant. The elephant quickly caught up with Mr. Narong, knocking him down and trampling him repeatedly. Ms. Meekaew, paralysed by fear, hid in the nearby tall grass and watched in horror as the elephant circled her husband before finally leaving the scene. When she emerged, she found her husband unresponsive and immediately called for help from other rubber tappers in the area, who then notified the police and rescue team. Unfortunately, it was too late; her husband had already succumbed to his injuries. The authorities have since transported Mr. Narong's body to Nong Yai Hospital for an autopsy. His remains will be released to his family for funeral rites according to religious customs. Picture from the Chanthaburi attack. Wild Elephant Kills Local Resident in Chanthaburi Province This incident occurred in Kaeng Hang Maeo, Chanthaburi Province, early on the morning of August 31, when a wild elephant fatally attacked a local resident. Authorities have issued a warning to nearby communities, advising them to refrain from outdoor activities, particularly rubber tapping, until the situation is under control. At approximately 03:00, Mr. Kittichai Rungphaiboonwong, the head of Khao Chamao-Khao Wong National Park and leader of the Rapid Response Unit 5, received a report from the village headman of Moo 2, Phawa Subdistrict, Kaeng Hang Maeo District, Chanthaburi Province. The report stated that a wild elephant had attacked and killed a local resident. Officials arrived at the scene in Phawa Subdistrict, where they identified the victim as Mr. Budda, a 66-year-old local resident. According to the victim's family, around 02:30, Mr. Budda awoke to the sound of an elephant foraging near his home. He stood under the eaves of his house and shone a light to locate the elephant. Tragically, the male elephant charged at him, striking him and flinging him 6-7 metres away from the house before it fled the scene. In response to the incident, the Klong Hin Ploeng Village Elephant Surveillance Network has been closely monitoring the movements of the elephant responsible. Residents in the surrounding areas have been warned to exercise caution and avoid rubber tapping or any other outdoor activities for the time being. Authorities plan to conduct a thorough investigation of the area to ensure the safety of the community. -- 2024-09-01 Get the ASEAN NOW daily NEWSLETTER - Click HERE to subscribe -
