Fuel Stabiliser

Are you wanting to store a car long-term? My preferred method is to fill up with high octane fuel, eliminating 'air-space' for any condensation to form.

Modern fuel systems are 'closed' and should not present any problem. Degradation of fuel is overcome by filling with high octane but equally ok to leave tank empty and fill with high octane upon first re-use.

Fuel stabilser may cause more harm than good as the stuff contains solvent, alcohol and or light (sewing machine type) mineral oil. Ethanol fuels already contain alcohol.

No just using it in fuel storage cans for lawnmowers etc . I have used it for unleaded fuels in Singapore and Australia and never had any problems and also used it when I laid up my motorbike for a few months.
