Phuket's trickeye "museum"

Well, after much pressure from two tiny people, wife and son, we went there Saturday afternoon.

This is a place that has about 59 hand painted pictures and you can pose with them, making it look that you are interacting with the scene.

Some paintings are huge and others are frames. You can walk behind them, some are on glass and you have to take pics at an angle to capture the reflection.

Overall, a nice little hour to kill.

Word of caution to farangs. TAKE YOUR THAI DRIVERS LICENSE. You will be charged the Thai price. I had to show mine to get the 150 price. Otherwise, it is 500 for the fair skinned pale heads.

It is located at the traffic light by the main post office in Phuket Town. 20 baht to park at the Pearl hotel behind it. Where the old fantasea disco used to be.

The kids will love it. For me, it was a bit boring. Been spoilt with better "museums" in London and Toronto, but again, the kids will have tons of fun. And it is for them, right?

Another caution for heavy set farangs. You have to take your shoes off during the tour. To protect paintings on the floor. 2 floors of concrete await your tired and sore feet.

The ticket stub allows you a 10 baht off the drinks from the fruit juice vendor outside the exit.

new price for thais is 250bath and still 500bath for farang..

workpermit, yellow tabien baan or drivers license and you get thai price..

Just a quick off topic question. Does the 1 year retirement visa also qualify a foreigner for the Thai price?

Not likely - as already stated above = workpermit, yellow tabien baan or drivers license and you get thai price..
