Can anyone recommend a gold dealer in Pattaya

I'm looking to spend around b200,000 on gold as an investment before the price goes up again.

I don't want gold jewelllry just gold.

Can anyone recommend a reputable dealer in the area?

If you do not want Jewelry, it is the gold block ( ingot ) you want, I saw them a couple of days ago

in the Gold Shop I always buy from on Pattayaklang.

They had the 1 Baht available, but any heavier needed to be

Aurora Gold shops are a chain throughout Thailand. They are in all the malls (Big C, Tesco, etc.). They sell 1 baht gold ingots. The price of gold is regulated here so it doesn't make a difference where you buy.

In Pattaya do they charge transport costs? Around where I live the gold shops charge between 100-200 Baht per Baht gold. They do not display this charge and only add it on buying. So on 100 Baht gold, I'd pay 20,000 Baht transport charges.

What is the usual spread ( buy to sell price ) for 1 baht ingots please ?

Is it 100 baht ( money that is), noticed 1 store seemed to have just a 60 baht spread.?

I could be wrong though.

When i have bought Gold Jewelry in the past, I ask the price for 1 Baht, then I choose something, the price is always a few hundred Baht more. My husband says this is the shops fee and also the price can differ depending on how fancy the article is, if there is a lot of workmanship been put into it, then it might cost more...... So buying the gold block would be the cheapest method........

how will you know if the gold is as pure as they say it is or even fake when buying from a gold shop? What due diligence should one do before making a transaciton.?
