Volume Control

Hi,

I have a laptop with Windows 7.

I watch videos with PotPlayer which is great because you can sit back and just reach out and change the volume with one hand.

But when I stream videos I have to sit up and use two hands to change the volume.

Does anybody know if there's a way to control the volume with one hand when watching videos on say YouTube with the Firefox browser

A Lenovo laptop should have mute, volume up and volume down keys integrated with the function keys. Lenovo laptops are a little bit onerous to use because the function keys are enabled by default and you must press Fn at the same time that you press volume up or down to get it to work. You can buy a (very) small wireless keyboard with IR blaster at Phantip that will do the job for you. It's what I use when I watch Youtube on my bigscreen via HDMI cable from my laptop.

If you click on the YouTube inline video player then you can use

<spacebar> to Play/Pause,

<up arrow> and <down arrow> to adjust volume,

<left arrow> and <right arrow> to time jump 5 seconds <j><k><l> keys jump back, pause, jump forward

top row numbers:

<0> restart video, and <1> through <9> jump to 10%, 20%, 30%, ... , 90%
