Looks like his name is John Galt

totster :D

John Galt (May 2, 1779 – April 11, 1839) was a Scottish novelist

Just another old local in Pattaya. :o

So many people seem to hate Stickman that I guess it was inevitable.

Personally, I prefer the real deal. :o

John Galt ------ Think ATLAS SHRUGGED by Ayn Rand

http://www.gallery1100.homestead.com/JohnGalt.html

He admits that "John Galt" is a pen name taken from a novel written in the 50's.

Apparently he isn't too impressed with Stickman's articles and columns, many of which he seems to consider outright BS.

He plans on publising new articles shortly after Stickman's comes out, so he can tear them apart. I haven't read too much of his site, but he does seem to know a little about what he's talking about (like where he disects an interview someone else supposedly did with a khatoey).

It's still early though. He may get bored with it (and it doesn't appear that he's trying to make money with the site, yet. That may come if he starts generating more hits though).

He got my one hit .... stick hasn't gotten many more than that :o

Strangely ...... running a website like that would NOT be in line with what John Galt was about...

he doesn`t seem to emntion stickman though. expcept in the URL

I saw him refer to him a few times, but he uses "Stick" instead of stickman.

Maybe he doesn`t think Stick is a man?

I get the impression he doesn't think Stick is much of a man. :D

Have to keep a casual eye on the site and see if he slips up and gives us some clues to his identity.

Not quite but Almost...bit about John Galt

Galt was born in Irvine on 2nd May 1779.

His family moved to Greenock when he was ten and he stayed there for the next ten years.

He moved to London in 1804 and tried to establish himself in business with little success.

From 1809 to 1811 he toured the countries of the Mediterranean and became acquainted with Lord Byron, of whom he wrote the first biography.

He wrote plays, poetry and biography before discovering his real métier as a novelist.

From 1827 to 1829 he acted as manager of a company engaged in the settlement of a large part of Ontario.

Some of his other works, especially his Autobiography and Life of Byron, are interesting, but Galt's main achievement lies in thirteen novels which are innovative, diverse, intelligent and highly entertaining.

A group of them which Galt called Tales of the West, are set mainly in the part of Scotland where he grew up: The Ayrshire legatees (1820), The Steamboat and Annals of the parish (1821), Sir Andrew Wylie, The Provost, The Gathering of the West, The Entail (1820), The Last of the lairds (1826). Together they amount to a comprehensive picture of life in the world of Galt's youth and for a generation or two before, from about 1760 to about 1820.

They make brilliant use of Scots for dialogue and sometimes for narrative. Galt himself spoke of the Scottish people as fortunate in:

"Possessing the whole range of the English language as well as their own, by which they enjoy an uncommonly rich vocabulary."

Even within this group of novels there is a remarkable range of techniques. Annals of the parish and The Provost are what Galt called "theoretical histories", so accurate that they can be accepted as reliable accounts of social change.

Both of these are narrated in the first person and are masterpieces of ironic self-revelation. Sir Andrew Wylie is on a larger scale and is one of the first novels to deal with politics and with murder and detection.

The Entail is even more ambitious in its emotional depth and sense of tragedy.

Ringan Gilhaize (1823) is a powerful historical novel, heightened by a spirit of passionate identification with the Covenanters. Lawrie Todd (1830) and Bogle Corbet (1831) are among the first novels to be set in Canada and the United States, The Member and The Radical (1832) are ironic political novels reflecting the agitation for parliamentary reform.

In 1834 Galt returned to Greenock and continued to write short stories with undiminished zest and humour.

He died there on 11th April 1839. :D

Galt has been a very naughty boy, that's why Sickman's site is off the air.

Lots of conjecture at mangosomething.com :o

Was going to give it a read but the link doesn't work anymore. Ah, well. Short lived.

Galt/Kevin Summers site is still there Tip. Not sure for how long though, he's pissed off a few people and they have his name, address and pic now. :o

Galt/Kevin Summers

Keith Summers? :o

I was going to mention Galts real name ages ago, but I didn't want to have my post deleted.

You are referring to the wrong site for Tip.

Just read on MS - Google "stickman".

Whether you like the guy or not, this is ridiculous. At least the support appears to be siding towards Stick a lot more than this pathetic "Galt" character.

Gault is #########.Anybody that threatens to grass on somebody deserves a kicking IMO.

Edited for language.

I don't much care for Stickman but I care for this guy even less. Stickman used to have an interesting site but since he decided he was HiSo, he lost his credibility at least with me. I don't know what Stickman did to antagonise this guy but apparently this guy has an axe to grind. I really don't care if they both disappear.

No one can figure out yet why this guy has a vendetta against Sickman.

I guess it will all come out in the wash in a few days.

Galt is known to the manager of Club Bourche or whatever the name is, but I wouldn't blame him...... yet.

Lots of conjecture at mangosomething.com :o

You mean mangosauce.com.

This is what I heard Udon, Galts friends bar got some 'stick' (what a great pun!) and he started to harass Stickman. He was funny at first, nice to see some criticism of the Stickman site but when he posted those pics he did become a 'grass' and most comments I see now are against him. Looks like he ######ed up.

Storm in a glass of flat Chang? :o

Or a Chang fart in a condom ...... does anybody here really care if they both went off-line.... I wouldn't loose any sleep, I read Stick once or twice, I've never read Galt at all because I was fairly aware of the content.

If both sites were removed, would they be missed? ..... I doubt it.
