BANGKOK: -- Police on Wednesday questioned witnesses and relatives of the gunman who shot dead a major shareholder of the Landmark hotel in Bangkok and then committed suicide.

The shooting incidents took place at the house of Mr Montri Sihanartkitdakul, a major shareholder of the Landmark hotel on Sukhumvit road, in Soi Chan Gao 10, off Narathiwat road, Sathorn district, on Tuesday night.

Mr Montri was shot three times on the head and at his back with a 11 mm caliber handgun which was also used by Mr Prasarn Poduang to take his own life.

Pol Lt-Gen Pravuth Thavornsiri, the assistant police chief, said initial investigation indicated that Mr Prasarn shot Mr Montri before he took his own life.

Eyewitnesses said that the two men had dinner together at the Landmark hotel before Mr Prasarn drove Mr Montri back to the latter’s home where the shooting later took place.

A note believed written by Mr Prasarn was found in his car. In the note, Prasarn expressed his dissatisfaction with Mr Montri and mentioned the name of a third person.

Two guys having dinner together, drives home and that a quarrel ensued, and a note motioning a third

person....could it be a lovers tiff?

He was shot 3 times ON THE HEAD? Isn't implied that he shot the other guy and THAN shot himself?

can it BE the other way around?

"Pol Lt-Gen Pravuth Thavornsiri, the assistant police chief, said initial investigation indicated that Mr Prasarn shot Mr Montri before he took his own life."

A fiction writer who wrote this sentence would have their story rejected.
