BMA told to consider unsafe bicycle lanes for demolition

BANGKOK: -- Bangkok bicycle lanes on narrow roads or those rarely used will be considered for possible demolition, officials said yesterday.

 

The move followed a meeting of city executives yesterday, said Pol Lt-General Amnuay Nimmano, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) deputy governor.


Amnuay also said that he would propose the cancellation of the Bus Rapid Transit project so the city would not have to renew its contract for Bt2 billion per year.
