I booked a Thai Airways flight last year through an agent on my UK MasterCard - Thai cancelled the flights and the agent (Carlton Leisure) wanted a £75 "administration fee" to make my refund. I did a section 75 claim and got the whole lot back.

Yes but people should not have to rely on 3rd parties to get a refund for this scummy Airline.

Thaiairways sould have been dead and buried a long time ago.

I for One will NEVER use them again

I agree Im returning home soon, tickets are cheap.  Australia still requires the pcr test within 72hrs of departure and no quaranteen on arrival.  Just a RAT test within 24hrs of arrival

    It's either a RAT or a PCR

All inbound passengers must provide a negative accepted COVID-19 test result. These tests can be either:

    • A nucleic acid amplification (NAA) test, such as:
      • polymerase chain reaction (PCR, or RT-PCR) test
      • Transcription mediated amplification
      • Loop-mediated isothermal amplification; or a
    • A rapid antigen test (RAT) (also described in some countries as a lateral flow antigen detection test or similar). This must not be confused with a lateral flow antibody detection test. For the purposes of pre-departure testing it must be an antigen test.

The guy Literally Sped up at a red NO TURN Light while we were following the flow of PEDESTRIANS on a Marked crosswalk
Meaning I was walking with  a group of people in front of me and this guy came out of a red light turning right.
I was very carful  but there are some things you don't expect.
The guy clearly had no idea or was just indifferent to any road rules or actually wanted to maim or kill someone.. that's just normal here.
Accidents are unexpected This guy literally barged his car through a group of people thinking he had rite of way THATS NOT AN ACCIDENT!

Bit like the Ahole that mounted a Footpath and killed people who were waiting at the bus stop?

  4. No surprises

All the police I know are very poorly educated and have in the past had access to any lone they wanted..

Almost all of the loaned money was blown on totally useless garbage.

My Brother in law is a senior police in a semi rural town he is in debit up to his eyeballs and has NOTHING to show for it.

The Dmax has new wheels and a massive sound system but is falling apart..

The Honda City has new tires and wheels  but is falling apart and is never serviced.

The house (my wife owns due to her taking over the finances on it ) is falling apart while he lives in it for free..

The family rice farm my wife owns due to the same reason he took out unserviceable lone using the farm as leverage..

BIL is in debit so much his entire salary is used to service his lones.
The family of 6 live off the his wifes School teacher salary lucky she is quite smart and practical..

Every time we visit Mum and Dad BIL askes me what he should do to make some money... I have given up trying to help he is a moron and from what I know all his mates at the station are in the same predicament..

Giving these morons access to lone is just stupid but hey when has the government done anything that is not..

Face is very important.  Some may remember that many years ago a Thai business man or diplomat stole jewelry from a high ranking Saudi, in Saudi.  The Thai refused to admit it and the Thai government refused to allow any investigation.  As a result Saudi blacklisted Thailand, no Thai workers allowed, no Saudi tourists, no Saudi investment, etc.  But the Thai government did not change tack, to do so would have been a serious oss of face.

And is a prime reason why high roller Tourist would need their head checked if they consider Thailand a 5 Star high end location where They would not be a target for anything like you know having al their valuable items stolen and the authorities Denying it ever happened..

  6. Thailand needs to be a high quality tourist destination first!!

As a High roller Tourist there is far better places to go and be treated with respect, feel valued and relax than Thailand.

    IMO Thailand needs to:
    Legalize Weed
    Legalize Prostitution

    Relax All laws on Alcohol

    Aim for Mass Tourism

Let the Hordes come for fast and free time .
Thailand should do what it did best back in the 80-90's a cheap, sleazy and dirty place.

There is NO WAY IN HELL Thailand will ever be considered a Top spot for a high roller.
