  1. @ Lopbur3 As frid. 9 May is a Thai nat.hol would they take as ok a bank letter from the day before with a bankbook copy on the 12th of May? and does anybody know if there is an availability to photocopy papers?

@ Ubonjoe I am on my last extension of stay of my multi entry Non Imm O visa with expiry date 8 June, but just got my new passport and need to change stamps from old to new passport, which I believe can be done on the same day. Just need more photo copies

Thank you both for your replies

  2. Hi

on the 12th May ( the earliest date) I am able to apply for my 1 year extension of stay based on retirement. All documents and money requirements are in place plus will ask for multi entries. I like to travel to Australia on the 31st of May and was wondering if I would have the ok before then.

Also do I have to go again to Chaeng Wattana or can I still go to Hollywood Major

    Many thanks

  3. Maybe it has been discussed before, but I have been unable to find it.

In 2 weeks time I can pick up my new passport from Embassy in Bangkok.

I just did a border run to extend my multiple entry Non immigrant O permission to stay till 8th June. I like to apply now for a year retirement extension.

My question is: Do I have to wait to the last 30 days of my permission to stay or can I apply as soon as I have my new passport.

I am living in Bangkok and would go to Major Hollywood, Soi Suksawat 60.

    Thank you

  4. my visa (non O ED) is due for extension in 11 days time. I will be trying to get it changed to retirement extension. i also would like to apply for re-entry, but am unsure as what to do. I will be making 3 trips outside Thailand in the next 9 month. My question is; would it be better for me to apply for multi re-entry or is the re-entry only valid for the duration of extension of stay (that is the 90 days)

    thanks

  5. Thank you Lopburi3

I have just downloaded TM86 for change of visa to get the non O visa, plus TM 8 for re-entry permit as I might make a trip outside Thailand

Then after 60 days I attend to points 1 & 2 as you advised plus TM8 for multiple re-entry

Proof of address is no problem as I own my condo and will take a copy of the deed. Does this have to be verified by the embassy ?

    Have I got this right?

  6. I have a valid single entry ED visa and my extension is due the last week of November

I would like however to change the extension to a non O based on retirement

I will have no problems with the moneytary requirement based on the combination method

Please can somebody help me with the following questions:

    1. which application form number or forms do I have to fill in & when
    2. Am I correct in thinking that I only need the following

    • filled in application form
    • ? photo (s)
    • copy of my passport ( ? every page)
    • evidence of pension income (does it need to be certified by Aus. Embassy)
    • copy of my bankbook with the funds in it to make up the difference

    + ? letter from bank

    Your help is much appreciated

  7. Hi there

I have a friend who is marrying next year a New Zealander with a British passport and working in Australia (Queensland). He wants to have her stay in Australia beginning next year for 3 months, before they get married in Thailand and live there.

This friend has been in Australia with my husband and i twice in the last 4 years, but since my huband's death i live now in Thailand and can't be of any help.

Any suggestions as I can see lots of complecations.

    many thanks Ozzieeg

  8. Recently I bought a gadget to boil my egg in the microwave. It is called Breakfast egg and consists of an alluminium lined plastic with a screw top.

Should be able to get them in a department store. My boiled eggs are now exactly like i want them.

When boiling an egg you have to look at the size of the egg. When storing the eggs in the fridge, rotate them every couple of days so the top goes to the bottom etc. This way the yoke stays where it is.

  9. Ye, every time you fly in to Thaiuland you will get a 30 day permission to stay. if you enter at a land border it will only be 15 days.

You can apply for a tourist visa in Laos (or KL) and extend the entry with 30 days at immigration. Might be easier.

Edit: If you have friends in Thailand you can get a 1 year multiple non-O visa if you show a copy of their ID card and a simple note asking for a visa for you. Apply in Perth.

    Thanks

Yes I do have friends in Thailand. Do i have to show a copy of their ID card and a note to get a 1 year multiple non-O visa or can it be done without it. And can it be done in Brisbane instead of Perth. I will from now on be most of time near bangkok and nowhere near Laos.

  10. I am a complete newby to posting, although i have followed this forum for a while now. I have found it very informative.

I arrived in Thailand 29th of April, thinking i still could use my double entry tourist visa, valid to 1st May 2010.

But at immigration i found out this visa was not valid anymore. My fault, i had forgotten the time i made a visa run to Loas, but had to return in a hurry to Australia due to family illness.

The immigration gave me a 30 day entry stamp valid to 28th of May.

My question is, if i fly to Singapore on the 27th of May and return on the 28th May, would i get another 30 day entry stamp and can i do the same again in June and get another 30 day entry stamp. My return ticket to Australia is on the 22nd July

As i will travel a lot more to Thailand i will be looking for a NIV cat O.

Your input would be much appreciated
