I spent a month in Phuket one day.
One day in Phuket was enough to last a lifetime. There are so many other great places to visit in Thailand.

Not surprising. When I first started coming to Thailand 25 years ago, you rarely saw overweight children. Now, with the increased sugar consumption and lack of activity due to too much screen time, it is getting hard to find children that are not overweight not to mention adults.

Hi all.
I'm going to be taking the night train to Bangkok and taking my
Wave with me. This will be my first time to take the bike this way since they moved from Hua Lamphong to the new Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station. (Bang Sue Grand). Before the move, they unloaded the bikes right on the platform next to the baggage car. I have searched and can't find out if they do the same at the new station (I doubt it due to the new layout) or if they have some other procedure.Any first hand experience would be appreciated.

She returned to her hometown, probably her family home too..
Impossible to be found..????♂️????♂️
A few years would probably not be enough. Unlike Thailand, most U.S. jurisdictions have tolling statutes that stop the statute of limitations for serious offenses from expiring if a person removes themself from the jurisdiction.

I have to call BS on this one. My girlfriend, a Malaysian passport holder, and I hit multiple US national parks on our last two trips there. She was charged the same price as everyone else. No one asks for your passport in the US when going to national parks or basically anywhere else.

If Grab really cared about the drivers it would help them get properly registered and get the correct license. And we know that will happen because Grab cares so much. ????

Is Social Security sending the "Are you alive ?" letter this year? I know they suspended it last year.

As we say in the American South, you only find two things in the middle of the road ... yellow stripes and dead armadillos.

Highly recommend Dr. Thanawat at Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai.
He did two cardiac stents for me about 2 years ago. First class doc. He was on faculty at CM Medical school until 3 years ago and he still goes there every Friday to lecture the interventional cardiology fellows on the latest techniques.

Austria or Bangkok. Does it matter? He will never be prosecuted.

Thailand should follow the Singapore process. A little jail therapy followed by deportation.

Where is their office, or other way to contact them?
PS, CM Immigration long lines & long waits seem to have become a thing of the past (at least for the moment). Plus a fellow out front seems sincerely helpful in explaining what is necessary. No, he is not taking bribes.

For what it's worth, I just came up from Bangkok to Chiang Mai on my motorcycle. I got waived through each one without having to stop. They had pulled over a few cars but the vast majority were waived through as well. I came up Highways 32 and 1.

Just an update to my previous post.
I went though 4 check points on the way down from Chiang Mai to Bangkok and another 5 on the return trip. One asked me where I was going - I told him Chiang Mai - before waiving me through. All the others merely waved me through. So much for the interprovincial precautions. ????

Correction, I earlier posted friend got confirmed appointment at Medpark for Pfizer in a week, I assumed he use this ExpatVac but t he used Thailandintervac site. I got on the site it actually explains things better and gave you choices I click Medpark since it was offering Pfizer actually ask you for your preference filled out the application even allows you to pick a date and time once everything is filled out I submit. Now like Expatvac it is a waiting game for confirmation?????
I did the Medpark registration and have already received my confirmation for Pfizer for next Wednesday evening in Bangkok. While I am not thrilled about having to go to Bangkok for the vaccine, I am willing to take a calculated risk to get a decent vaccine. Once I get the first injection and confirmation of the time and date for the second, I'll be canceling all the others I have done, i.e. Moderna and SV1/AZ2.

And, as usual, no mention of which vaccine would be available.

They seem to have failed to mention the party from UAE whom one has tested positive for COVID and is now in isolation, the rest of his group have been transferred to ASQ.
Not to mention any information on the cabin crew from the plane.

Nero fiddles while Rome burns. Here we are in the middle of a pandemic and they spend time worrying about fining people for pictures of alcohol. Maybe they should focus on getting the population vaccinated so the country can start opening up.

The problem with the vaccines is not the price for most of us. The problem is the government's failure to focus on securing it. Had the government not inserted the GPO as a middle man - even though it is not making money from the process - the Private Hospital Association of Thailand would most likely have started receiving supplies already. But, as we all know, TiT

Aussie Woman Reveals Harrowing Tales from Infamous Thai Prison
in Thailand News

She dodged the death penalty and spent the last 5 years of her sentence in an Australian prison.
Overall, I would say she has very little to complain about.
As Baretta always said "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time."
