In the town where I live the most Thais and foreigners are very aware and take distance, follow the rules, closing their shops, don't sit together, wearing masks and keep them self inside as much as possible. But I think it depends where you are right now and how many people are living in a town/city.

Good to hear, you obviously don't live in Chiang Rai (Add Carabao) or Bangkok (Thai boxing Stadium) or ...or... or.... The point I'm making is that given strict instructions to stay indoors Thais will choose the Sabai Sabai over pretty much anything. Wearing of safety helmets another fine example. Glad to know your area is following the rules

Yeah, right.. The below photo was taken at my local Tesco Lotus 2 hours ago.. The toilet paper selves have been all stocked with adult diapers (the whole aisle).. Either they don't want to show empty shelves to the customers or they are trying to pass us a message, e.g. you may need these since you won't be having any toilet paper.. :cheesy:

  3. The garden will be used by all for many different purposes. Some will choose to visit to remember. Some will visit to play. Some will visit to just sit and relax. What a wonderful contribution the man and those that continue his legacy make. Coincidently green spaces and hospitals both contribute to health and welfare.

May I recommend Guy Standing Plunder of the Commons: A Manifesto for sharing Public Wealth (2019) for anyone interested in how shared space can contribute to health and community

  4. In other news.... similar revelations.

    1) Water is wet

    2) Knives can cut

    3) The sun is hot

The air pollution in Thailand is part of a cyclical routine of an inability to solve problems. Take the carnage during Songkran, the <deleted> poor performance of students at English when compared to every other country in the world and the rampant nepotism as other examples of known problems which will never be solved.
