  1. Forgive me here, but the original manufacturers pads are great, they do the job great..........Seems your "stuff" is for the street racer at a much higher cost than OEM...?

Agreed Trans. Won't buy them, as I only pay less than half at my place in Sisaket for my Mitsu.

The Ulitmax range, which are a replacement for OEM pads come in at around the same price as OEM and provide better wear, less dust and improved braking for those who want to stop in just a little less distance, the Greenstuff and up could be considered as you say for someone looking for performance pads, but all the pads listed are pads we sell on a regular basis as people are returning customers and not happy with manufacturers products.

I do not know what model Mitsu you have but Ultimax for a Colt/Lancer/Proton Compavt are only 1,900 baht incl VAT for front

  2. I was a former EBC Redstuff with their ultimate rotors? Pretty much I trashed it all in less than 4 months of hard use. The cold braking is poor, while their heat dissipation is also poor. At the end I used another brand of rotors / pads with better results.

It would be more useful to know the distance they lasted than time as it would explain more, this may have been an issue a long time ago with this pad/disc combination, personally Red is not a pad we promote a lot, Yellowstuff or Greenstuff are our most sold pad.

Red stuff current compound state - Very minimal disc/rotor damage characteristics.

    And

As EBC’s flagship street brake pad material for prestige and faster cars above 200BHP, the 09 version of EBC Redstuff ceramic Brake pads sets new standards in brake performance. Redstuff ceramic brake pads have always been known for its low dust ability but the latest blend has greatly reduced the phenomenon of pad “Pick up” or disc scoring and reduced dust even further.

    attachicon.gifEBC Brake Temperature Chart 600.JPG

I used this set for about 5-7,000km max. Generally the car is a dedicated spirited highway car with each commute consist of 50km each way. My ride during that time was a Mercedes E280 which is well under 200bhp.

Greenstuff could have been a better choice (especially for cold braking), but Red stuff have greatly improved in recent times due to advances in compound composition.

  5. Forgive me here, but the original manufacturers pads are great, they do the job great..........Seems your "stuff" is for the street racer at a much higher cost than OEM...?

Ask any EBC brake user if they would switch back, the lower dust issue, better stopping performance, even from Ultimax are all worth it and Ultimax are around same cost as OE pads

  6. We can quote on particular bikes, there are also so many grey imported bikes as well, the catalogue is 100's of pages.

If in stock in Thailand, which we carry the most commonly sold, they are posted same or next day by EMS after you order.

If no stock we receive stock fortnightly, so about 2-3 weeks delivery if not in stock.

Need them in a hurry, we can airfreight expedite an order at an extra cost, which we will quote on request, as this depends on the amount you order, some bikes need 2 sets for front, or you make want front and rear etc.

    As an example price wise

    2013/4 Z800 Kawasaki

Front Double H - 2 sets for the twin discs - 3,000 baht (1,500 baht per side)

    Rear Organics - 950 baht 1 set

    Enquiries http://www.ebcbrakesdirectonline.com

    thanks for the info.

i was using other brands too like Ferodo but found out that honda stock sintered pads are better! also cheaper.

5000 km left to change my pads as i ride my bike like i stole it, bangkok commute, track days, spiritied rides etc so need to change my pads at both ends every 9000 - 10,000 km.

next time i will order EBC sintered brake pads from you guys.

do you have cbr650f pads in stock? and price?

    thanks a lot.

For the CB600f for Double H (sintered)

Front Price 1,500 * 2 sets = 3,000 baht for full front end

    Rear Price 1,500 baht

We would have to order these in, not in stock

    thanks a lot.

i will order some maybe in a couple of months.

you guys better stock some as there are many cbr650f owners around.

    good luck in your business.

Thanks, will take note of that fact, generally we keep stock for the most common ordered, Harley being a popular one for us

  8. I use the EBC HH pads- they're worth the money, IMHO- they last pretty long as well.

Have you got a set for a 2013 ZX-14R (ABS) in stock, and how much are they? If you can beat my supplier in the US I might order a set (front and back).

The price is 1,860 per side x 2 = 3,720 Baht - How does this compare, we are the factory distributor for Thailand and provide factory warranty if there were ever any problems.

We would have to order these in as not in stock

EBC Brakes Black Chrome Rotors for Big Twins

The all new EBC Brakes black chrome rotor for big twins is a polished stainless and black chrome centre hub finish range of fully floating brake discs/rotors for all US built big twins and cruisers.

As with all EBC big twin rotors, all components and hardware are stainless steel but in addition to the high lustre polished stainless steel centre hub, we have applied a black chrome finish to improve the cosmetics.

    black-chrome-rotor-half.jpg

The outer rotor ring or blade is from heat treated and tempered stainless steel with a diamond ground finish mounted onto the centre hub with EBC’s patented SD system™ square drive rivet hardware. The SD system buttons which appear circular are flat sided and mount into square pockets in the centre hub and rotor blade allowing the rotor blade to expand and contract freely under heavy braking, totally eliminating brake vibration and rotor distortion.

This equates to a clean pad, that lasts longer, extends disc life and emits ZERO toxicity and is a true PAD FOR THE FUTURE. The brake effect with the GG ratting is truly amazing and delivers powerful braking at first brake application. 13. "EBC Brakes are the biggest brake pad and brake disc manufacturer in the world."

    Really?

    Who do they supply OEM?

For a Start, an OEM may make only a few pads, EBC maufacture after market pads for anything from AC to Yugo, mountain bikes, motorcycle, automotive, commercial and even railway, they specialise in retro vehicles where no one else is manufacturing pads anymore.

Here is their brake pad catalogue http://ebcbrakes.com/Assets/ecatalogues/2014-EBC-intl-mc-cat/2014-EBC-intl-mc-cat.html

They have a catalogue for British made vehicles http://ebcbrakes.com/Assets/ecatalogues/2010-auto-pad-shoe/EBC-2010-Pad-Shoe-Catalogue.html

Very few OEM's manufacture both discs and pads, let alone manufacture for such a wide range of applications

They are also covered by a very good warranty http://ebcbrakes.com/about-ebc/warranty/

I didn't say OEM make pads and disc's.

You claim "EBC Brakes are the biggest brake pad and brake disc manufacturer in the world."

    I think that is incorrect.

Posting links to catalogues does not answer my question at all, but never mind.

I was just trying to explain the situation, they aren't an OEM producer, but and aftermarket performance producer, I have never seen a range so well supported, Harleys back to the day dot etc, old cars wheres makers have long emptied their shelves of any stock, this is where they excel, yes I am passionate about the product being a motoring enthusiast and it is why I became involved here in Thailand after being in the Auto Industry back home, I look for certain things

    1: Quality of a product

    2: Range and availability

3: Support if something goes wrong (which rarely does with these)

If there are any technical questions on them I am happy to answer them and our team with a lot of experience both onroad and ontrack are here to help

  15. The weather is now cooler and perfect for being outside. So this weekend why not pop along to Bira Circuit and enjoy it while you can.

This 6th and 7th is the penultimate round of the Nitto 3K racing.

Currently with our No.30 car, EBC Brakes BMW we are leading the Retro Euro (F6) series and are joint 1st with 2 others in open RWD (F5A), there is sure to be some intense battles in the push to break away from the current tie.

We will be in pit 30, so be sure to pop by and say Hi.

  16. What figure is the 10% based upon ??

For instance if I was to bring in say a supercharged 454ci chev bigblock and Lenco gearbox, how would the 10% import tax be calculated on such a combo ??

Lets make that a 502 :D. How would customs know the value or can you fudge a receipt from a pal when sending. B)

Answer on PM if you like.

  17. What figure is the 10% based upon ??

For instance if I was to bring in say a supercharged 454ci chev bigblock and Lenco gearbox, how would the 10% import tax be calculated on such a combo ??

You would have to be careful with the invoice value. If you said it was $1500 US and they openened the crate and saw it was a $7000 US shining jewel of a unit they would adjust the valuation.

However if it was a $7000 US unit and you had it down as $4 - 5000 you would probably get away with it.

It is obviously possible to make it look ordinary by removing the rocker covers and the supercharger.

Like everything it is a case of being reasonable and playing within sensible limits.
