Pet peeve of mine, because I like Songkhla Town so much as a weekend getaway from BKK.

I wish they'd say that it happened in Hat Yai in the headline.  Yeah, I know, Hat Yai is in Songkhla Province, but it's an hour's drive from Songkhla, the pleasant beach town.  This is like claiming a terrorist bombing in New York, when it happened in Buffalo, New York.

HatYai town is 30 km away from Songkhla .... to be more precise, 15 min drive from KoYo intersection up until the floating market entrance, just before BigC extra intersection

  2. Beyond the tax issue...and you will get caught for something that large...

I'd be worried it would arrive in working order.

Would the local importer fix something that he did not sell? Or would it have to go back again if it was broken?

Something with such a Hefty price tag would have an international warrantee ...
  3. Well ... Thank for your response .... Paying around $900 more is a bit silly putting in mind that how many people would buy this machine here in LOS ... Would understand a price hike on an item if there is a rush to get it by the consumers ... But look at the lazada original price ?! It's around $4000 ! Vs ebay price $2,200 ! Thats $1,900 extra payed on duty ! Thats insane !

  4. I'm interested on buying a Delonghi fully automatic espresso latte coffee machine through ebay or amazon .... It's sold here as well but with a huge deference in price between both Lazada and Ebay, simple question, does it worth to get it shipped or save my self a hassle and get it through Lazada? I know about the customs but i can't figure out how much i would pay. Thanks .... post-114464-14632070998976_thumb.jpgpost-114464-14632073787665_thumb.jpg

  5. So these ladies are at risk and should be told to cover up strait away???

    Patong-Lady-Boys-1.jpg

in some low life areas it's tolerated. but in other parts of the country law enforcement is stronger.

and second thing these shorts are really short. but it's still not an underwear.

    Right

So it's ok when it's prostitution and the police can have a part of the benefit

No, it is a matter of context, "entertainment" zone vs national monument.

One would think it would not be difficult to differentiate.

I never seen such thing as ZONES in Thailand

You can have hookers anywhere as long as they paid the cops

No, there is .... But from your answers and the pics you are posting here, i don't think you're interested in such places what so ever ... I mean national monuments !

  6. Oh, stop with the self-righteous cultural relativity. When I was on Samui in 1987, it was crawling with fully naked European girls all over the place. And topless ones on Phi Phi in 2001. Now the Thais are just engaging in a paroxysm of Dubai-like authoritarianism.

Ok ... Let me get this clear and strait .... You wanna see nude and topless girls again luring around the beaches here ... Right?
  7. I took my Swedish Gf to the Russian River in Northern Ca. My family has a summer home there and I spent every summer there. We set up our towels and I went to buy some snacks....It was a busy weekend. On the way back hundreds of people were scrambling to the shore. I thought of a person either drowning or a heart attack. No.......it was her, naked with a police officer standing over her with a ticket book. Getting ready to issue her a citation for indecent exposure. The entire crowd booed. She got a warning. The warning worked for about an hour. Up until the point to where I had gotten the rental canoe into the current. All the other boats on the river beelined to ours.....

And ? Whats the moral of your story ?
  8. Hey, the country of Thailand has high standards on decency. Did they not realize, when it comes to nudity (even partial) there is a zero tolerance. Really did these ladies think, that Thailand is an open minded country that condones sexual promiscuity that they can strip down and sunbath? If the authorities were to allow this, the next thing you know, the country would fall to having nude dancers in bars, street walkers soliciting, massage parlors offering sex, and who knows what?

  9. I've been getting the bank letter from SCB here in Chiangmai for Immigration for years and have never had a problem having them understand what I've wanted. Just tell them you want the bank letter for Immigration - they'll very likely immediately understand what you want (they have a template form on their machine).

One weird thing, though, is I can only get that bank letter from the branch where I opened the account (the other branches won't do it for me). They also (like other banks, I'm told) charge about 200 baht for issuing the letter.

I think you are talking about your bank account statement ...!

  10. You will need a new power brick for sure hence canada uses 110 v and here it's 220 v ... For the system updates yes for sure no issues .... I got 2 consoles ... One from canada and the other from the ME ... Both working fine no issues ... No need to buy new console ... Just power transformer to get the voltage down from 220 to 110

  11. Erdogan has not apologised because apologising is the same as allowing Putin to run free to impose his demented will. Erdogan easily recognises that Putin's way results in a severely diminished Turkey. Putin also means to discombobulate Nato. Wrecking Ukraine, wrecking Turkey, in turn wreck Nato. Europe.

Erdogan however just got 3 billion euros from the EU and Erdogan knows there's more where that came from. Putin is meanwhile doing everything he can think to do to reduce Turkey GDP in his attempt to force Turkey to its knees before him. CCP China meanwhile operates freely throughout the southern half of Iraq drilling and shipping oil free of any ISIS interference or obstruction.

The bottom line for the always up tight Erdogan is that there are more allies, security, stability, prosperity, global clout in Nato and with Nato countries then there is with Russia and his falling Brics. Brics are already in a pile around him..

Assad’s forces downed a Turkish RF-4 reconnaissance plane over the Mediterranean in June 2012. So Erdogan implemented new rules of war engagement against Damascus. For the past three-and-a-half years, Turkey has brought down more than half a dozen Syrian fighter jets, helicopters and UAVs for violating its airspace.

The latest shootdown of the RuAF Su-24 fighter jet by the US made TuAF F-16 "Fighting Falcon" is a culmination of the conflict. Turkey’s border interest includes its ethnic Turkmen in Syria. Moreover, since September and before the shootdown, one Russian Su-24 violated Turkish airspace, a Syrian MiG-29 locked on Turkish F-16s flying inside Turkey, and the Turks shot down what is believed to be a Russian-made UAV within their territory, on October 16.

During these clashes RuAF and Putin have set out to show Erdogan that his support for anti-Assad rebels has to cease. For Turkey, blasting the RuAF Su-24 out of the sky is a strong way to reassure the rebel groups Turkey and Nato support to keep fighting the Assad regime. It also tells the tsar-commissar Vladimir Putin to go fock himself.

Well said ... I would have never put it that good as you just did [emoji120][emoji122][emoji106]
  12. Putin has a big ace up his sleeve, the gas he supplies to Turkey for all it's domestic needs,

should he turn this off, me think the Turkish sultan will very quickly gravel and apologies to

    the Russian tsar...

Nnnnooppe .... Turkey wont apologize and USSR wont cut that gas supply .... Turkey have a good gas supply else where ... ( read into some oil and gas business and you would know) turkey can get the fuel from (guess who!)and USSR can shove that gas up it's ..... [emoji33] ... At a $18 billion that gets into the Russian economy ... I don't think it's Putin own decision to just cut it off .... And hey Mr.? Going into war against a country like turkey is not like going into war against country like Afghanistan [emoji6]
