If we did this at our place in Lampang we’d be the talk of the village…”why did her farang husband put the eyesore junk outside the gate?”
Never liked junk outside my gate so I always moved it down the next block.

Doesn't he already? He has no one to talk to except his wife and she is actively working on getting him to go back where he came from.

What exactly is "insulation from dampness"? Got me wondering and could be confusing the people you are talking with.
Exactly what maintenance was not done or needs to be done? Window sealing? Roof repairs? Porch issues?
25 minutes ago, beaufoy said:The maintenance / management at the condo told us the insulation from the dampness needs to be done again window ceiling i doubt roof repairs it is 10 floor above so i doubt porch issues there is no porch
did you read the post??
Yeh I read it. So you are now telling us that insulation from the dampness is window sealing? Or are you letting us know that you really do not know?
I asked what exactly is insulation from dampness and you have yet to clearly respond.

No, I was answering Dante rather silly question as to whether 6 Bht per unit would make a significant difference over Bht 10 per unit.
My bill is abut 300 baht per month so a change from 10 to 6 baht would only be 120 baht, which for me is not significant. Thus not a silly question but that is your silly.

Doooh. Say 300 units @ 10 = Bht 3000, @ 6 = Bht 1800. Simple O level arithmetic.
Are you trying to say the bill is 300 units or are you demonstrating your incredible math skills?

I have just learned that they are being charged Bht 10 per unit for electricity.
Is it significant? How much different would their total bill be if they were charged 6 Bht per unit?

Schools are not shy about telling their fees, why not ask them?
3 hours ago, 1FinickyOne said:which ones? And also I wanted to know what extra miscellaneous expenses there are as one person pointed out field trips... that is why I was looking for personal accounts.
It all boils down to the school colors. If the colors are red, blue or purple then they are not shy about telling. They even detail miscellaneous expenses like the cost of sodas and chips at the snack bars. If their colors are yellow, green or grey then they are very shy and will not tell.

The downspout is clearly damaged, is there a problem with the gutter too?

Sitting in my office at the pointy end and a military chopper has been flying over very low.
Impossible to have a nap.
I am told that the folk are here from Bangkok (DSI last time) surveying Samui and checking for illegal land titles and other 'anomalies'. Some plots near me are dodgy. (Four chanote titles have been revoked and more under consideration. They are on the last stage of appeal.)
I cannot confirm the reason for the survey, the local Thais told me, but that helicopter is not just sightseeing.
The navy were also 'parked up' off shore yesterday.
They are defiantly after you, can't you see it?

If the pipes have no pressure than probably plastic is good enough.
Plastic has worked fine for pressurized pipe for decades before brass was available. It continues to work fine in most installations. I have a bunch of 20+year old plastic threaded fittings that probably will be good for another 20 years.

The pump is not bolted down, it is very close coupled so the pipework keeps it from moving around.
Yeh that is what the pipework is for???
Have you observed the pump when it makes the bang? You might learn something by that.

Yeah, I have been through all the settings but can't see anywhere to select a default. Weird that it defaults to credit card when I don't have one.Settings, Transfer and payment, preferred account

Yeah, this changed recently. Annoyingly mine defaults to credit card and I don't even have a Bangkok bank credit card, so I have to change it to direct debit manually on each transaction.
You may have a problem with your settings in the app. Mine goes straight to direct debit without my doing anything.

Yeah I've heard people bang on about it before, like i said they probably charge in other ways
You are banging on about something you know nothing about, just guessing. I have used their services for years and monitored all charges and found no charges in "other ways".

Not me. When using the app there is a place to choose what account you want to pay from. You need to choose your bank account not your credit card.

Hand‑dug wells can range in depth
from about five metres deep, to deep
wells over 20 metres deep. Wells
with depths of over 30 metres are
sometimes constructed to exploit

Adjust the bottom rollers. Should be a plug or two that you need to remove and then you'll have access to a screw that lifts or lowers the rollers.
Easy fix.
This works but clean the tracks too. Might have to clean wheels too.
