  2. Ja, I meant when my husband wanted to copy all the RAW files from the camera to his USB, then the shop charged 600 baht for each RAW File, which was about 30MB each. The  highest price the owner offered was 45000 baht, but we didn't understand anything because she talked in Thai. PS: I keyed in  English into Google Translation and showed her the Thai  translation, but she just always answered in Thai, which made us very  tired and frustrated.

I've got some info from other ladies. It seems the normal practice here. OK, so , let it be . Thanks and have a nice day.

  3. Hallo !
Does anyone know, how much is the normal price in photoshop in Pattaya, for copying electric files ?
We were offered 5000 baht as a package for doing family photos in traditional Thai address. 3 persons, each has 3 sets of dress. Took about 3 hours, made 193 photos.

But later when we requested to copy all the data files,  we were told the price is  600 baht for each !After a hard bargain(no one can speak English, the lady wrote down the a detailed price list with different number of photo copying ), we paid extra 13000 baht. So in total 18000 baht, for  44 electrical photo files, 10 prints out without frames.

I will still go there again for taking the prints out. Wondering how much is the normal situation here, maybe I can talk with them again,  to copy some more files within the already paid cost.

    Any info is appreciated !

I don't wish to hijack the thread, but just a quick question, is managing your own rental property here considered "working?"

Even being the owner, aren't you working as a property agent, if inside Thailand?

We rented our unit out via agent.

  5. Hello !

I've just rented out my unit for long term. For the 1st time address registration of tenant, I will let agent do it cause I'm not in Thailand by then. But in the future, I want to do TM30 myself for the tenant who is working during the weekdays . Does anyone know what documents I need to prepare and can I also do this online (...and how) ? I'm in Pattaya

    Thanks very much in advance

  6. Hello!

Am considering changing school for my girl. We live in Soi 18, Naklua Road, quite far from that school.... Last time, I only saw one school bus parking there.... I know, sometimes, taking school bus could be both expensive and time consuming....

    Thanks in advance

When you are able to post here, you can use Google maps too ... I guess you are just lazy to do ?

I used google map, but it doesn't help much. You are wrong, I'm a very diligent person, more than you can imagine.

  8. Hallo !

Anyone has some route instructions ? The address I found on google is some numbers of Moo......

I know it is near 3rd road. Can anyone tell me which Soi to turn in, and nearby is there something easy to spot out ?

    Thanks!

  9.

Thanks you guys! Now I feel more relieved.

3 years ago, we listed our condo with a Thai agent, who later brought a japese old couple to view the condo. Then the contract were signed. When I asked a  passport copy of the old jap, they never gave. Later, I found out, the tenant signature and stamp on the contract were from a Jap agent, not the old jap old couple at all !!!

The jap couple tenant took NO care of our condo, although I reminded them several times. After one time I happened to see the status of our condo, I stopped this contract. When we moved back, many things were broken. They just hided problems and did not tell us.

The jap tenants were arrogant too. They refused to communicate with us directly and all messages must passed from us to Thai agent then Jap agent then the old japs ...

I took all the photos of the damages and all the receipts I can have (before they moved in, all the photos were taken too, with the witness of the Thai agent)...... If the jap call the police or go to court, I'm prepared.

BTW, the contract says clearly, tenant is not allowed to rent condo to others again. So, in our case, they already violated contract, right ?

  10. Hello,

We rented our unit out for 3 years and many things inside were damaged because tenant took no care. The repair cost is more than the deposit.

We already send a  detailed repair cost list to tenant, but he wants receipts and quotations also.

Some receipts we have, some we don't have yet....And renovation takes quite long time too.

Normally, what docs should landlord present to confiscated the deposit for house repair ?

  11. If a man has a retirement visa, can his wife and kid also get some visa to stay in Thailand for long term ?

Till now, my husband has been working in Thailand for 8 years. He has work permit and working visa, so I and kid have family visa. And my kid is in a local good school..... Not sure after he retires, how can I and kid still stay in Thailand, if we wish to ?

    Thanks

    Susan

  12. Hallo!

My flight is tomorrow (Monday) 11AM from BKK, international flight.  If the taxi starts 7:00AM, will there be enough time ?

I remember last year  April 1st, Saturday,  xaxi started 8am, only tool 1 hour 20 min on road. But it was so crowed inside airport and the time was quite tight for all the procedures.

Am curious about the situation recently. Anyone has experience recently ?

PS: Since I've been in Thailand for 7 years, I always used this flight at 11AM, always started home 8AM. Never had any problem, sometimes it took only 30 min for all the airport procedures. But the experience of last  April did make me a bit unsure :)))

    Thanks!

  13. Thanks so much for your professional opinions. Yup, it needs more colors :))) We did our best to keep it neat and tidy. But the futures are old fashioned/dakr/heavy  and a bit costly to replace all. Will try the places you mentioned. Thanks again !!!
