I think it is/will be a problem...I had same situation and they told me no six months ago...granted i was on tourist visa and apparently they now wanted more than that even though i had opened the account 15++ years ago with no problems. Seems not nearly as easy to open an account these days and requirements are more serious....
Oh! Sorry to hear that!
What was their reason / explanation ?
Did you try other branches? Its common knowledge that if one branch bounced you, trying different ones 3-5 times again and again might work.
PS: I'm from Bulgaria.

Hello everyone!
A quick question:
I have an account in Kasikorn (opened in 2012), have been using it regularly all these years.
Haven't visited Thailand since 2019 though.
When Covid hit - along with other issues - I cashed out and left only a tiny amount of few hundred THB on my balance.
They kept charging me small sums for maintenance until it reached 0.
As I'm planning to come back to Thailand soon, I checked the KBANK online and see that the account number is gone.
Due to negative balance and inactivity I guess.
Can they restore it when I visit them in person (with my checkbook and passport)?
Should be no problem, what do you think?
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
My landlord is out reach for a week and I need to change DNS settings in wifi router in my condo. Model HG630 V2 Home Gateway.
Is there any default password or one that falls in a certain pattern? Tried default "admin" and "3bb" - nope.
Thanks!
PS: And note to self-assigned paranoid vigilantes: Yes, I have the permission.

Hello, gentlemen!
It's been raining cats and dogs lately on Samui. And I hit a deep puddle on my Yamaha Nuovo Automatic. Its been 2/3 wheel-deep for a minute or less.
I let it dry out for few hours, but still, the engine starts, but chokes on itself.
What exactly happens when you sink a bike? And how much does it cost at the service stop? Thanks!

What about other places? Bangkok, Pattaya?
Is it nation-wide rule?

Hi guys, can anyone elaborate, how to get a PoR at Koh Samui?
Last time I needed it for a car purchase in Pattaya (2011), I simply produced a lease contract from a condo
and my passport, and that was enough.
Here the immigration clerk says they dont issue PoR anymore. Is it still possible legally or by greasing a palm?

Thanks for the replies, guys!
Basically, I need it only for my bank OTP codes. The girl at DTAC suggested a Tourist SIM.
They'll deduct 110thb annually to keep the number and there is no expiration of balance
(I still think you have to simulate some activity every month, othervise Devil knows what).
Does it sound plausible? I'll go to their office tomorrow to find out!
-
Hi guys!
I've had a DTAC number for 4 years - just bought in 7-11, went to DTAC office and said I want to use it
permanently, that was it. Never expired.
However, I stayed in EU until Nov this year and due to that new and wonderful law, they've cancelled it.
Along with the remaining balance of 1500thb (lovely) )
Now, whats the best way to get a permanent number now?
With a non-expiring balance - I see some simcards would demand you to add some money every month, otherwise
get locked.
Thanks alot!

I was a diehard hater of Android 2-3 years ago mainly because the ecosystem of Android software is more chaotic - no strict guidelines for the GUI, apps are crippled with adware and in general look more "amateurish". IOS is more balanced.
And was reinforced in my opinion by finally buying Note 4 with its horrible TouchWiz.
But to my surprise, switching the firmware to MIUI brought up a whole new experience.
More options, less bloatware.
As you probably know already, there is fewer restrictions (almost nill) on Android.
I think you would embrace more powerful hardware on Android phones and better photo/video on top-end models.
Though I still own a Mac and jailbroken IPad and hope that Iphone 7 will narrow the technological gap.
Ask me anything!

Just curious:
I remember 5 or 6 years ago while staying in Pattaya, I caught some cold, it felt like one.
But the sympthoms were different from what I get in Europe: 2-3 days of t=37.3-37.5C
and after that the temperature drops to 35.3 in the morning, 35.7 at night.
Loss of appetite, weakness, fatigue.
And it continues from several days to a week. No runny nose, sore throat, upset stomach.
And its not an STD or anything like that
Then it gets better and wears itself out.
I'm just wondering if anybody else experienced it? Could be a flu but without fever or
muscle pain.

Also another bike shop on the left hand side past soi 1 maenam heading towards Nathon
Thanks for the tip, I've been there 2 days ago, they'd said to wait 1+ month for any gear to arrive (they order it from some other big retailer).
I've been told there is a bike shop somewhere in Nathon, anybody heard of it?
-
If anyone can help, where they have a shop with sportswear for cyclists? Jackets, pants, shorts.
Like they were selling on 25-Jan championship on Mainam.
Many thanks!
-
Thanks, will look for them!
Do they deal low quantities (I need only 1-2), or hundreds?

I'd like to make myself a t-shirt with custom print. Anyone knows if there's a company that can do it?

Yeah, I was driving by that day. Poor buggers in bodybags...
Not to mention hordes of zombies around the place, filming it on their smartphones.
A selfie-(de)generation...

Hello gentlemen,
I need my motorbike to be towed from Pattaya to Samui.
Any good services to look for, based on word of mouth or your personal experience?
Thanks!

Anyone experienced?
I want to start pumping iron (plus take food supplements etc).
Want to know my base testosterone levels beforehand.
Where can I get a comprehensive blood test at Koh Samui?
Thanks to everybody!

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Help me understand. I have an ED visa until Aug '14, issued in Pattaya.
Currently staying at Koh Samui. How to do a notification of residence here?
-
Hello world!
What is your favourite place to stay in Koh Samui, beach-wise?
I've been to Samui five years ago, so the memories are sort of faded away.
Now planning a 2-3 months vacation there. Asking for a friendly advice.
Some say Chong Mon is good. Or Bophut? Which of them has better renting
options (newer condotels or apartments) plus restaurants?
Thanks for the help!

I arrived just last week after a year off Thailand, cant understand what has happened to air
in Pattaya?
In Jomtien there's a constant haze (especially at night). I would assume that stupid farmers
burn their hay, but it smells more "industrial", like a coal-fired power plant or oil refinery
in Rayong?

Asianrider, thanks! Big C worked flawlessly. Funny thing is that when printing a test card, the guy didnt know which side to insert to print the back. Spoiled 2 blanks before figured it out ...

Hi everybody,
I need to print a small batch (100-120 pieces) of coloured membership plastic cards, laminated, from my .PSD.
Can anybody recommend a suitable service?
Many thanks!

Looking for some good advice, what plan should I pick for running WhatsApp, ICQ on a smartphone? No browsing and leeching.
Based on traffic and not time/high-volume downloads.
Just got 1-2-Call out of the box, seems that it will eat my balance pretty soon =)
Restoring a Kasikorn bank account ?

Follow-up / Update:
I've logged into KBANK and can see my usual account number - its just marked "Inactive".
(I think the last time I logged in, it was in the middle of the night (TH timezone, late evening in EU) and they had some kind of maintenance or whatever).
Do you think there's still hope to restore it without starting from scratch? Like funding it through ATM cash-in ?
