I can understand the position being a Foreign Woman living here. I am on my own and its very difficult to find company not just male company......it can be difficult to go out to a bar/restaurant on ones own.........with regards looking for a good Thai man......there is good and bad in every race ....Male & Female........

I am amazed at all the problems people are having presenting new British passports...I have just renewed mine.....had visa stamps transferred.....no letter.....no cost......no problem.

Sometimes I wonder if it is the appearance of people or the attitude they have when going to immigration may creates issues......

I had my visas transferred from Old UK passport to New UK passport last week with no letter and with no problems all I had to do was cut the corners of the old passport in front of the officer........no cost either....my visa is valid until end Jan 2014.....my passport would have expired Dec 2013.

Looks like the time line will be very convenient........another chemical attack just as 9/11 anniversary comes along......what appears to be interesting is POTUS is busy stating he will just attack a little as a warning ......has he given any thought to the fact that they are going to fight back ...or does he think they will all just sit back and accept missiles raining down......don't think so......I think we are about to see the start of WW3........thank you Mr Obama......

If you have a Debit Card you can pay for your passport renewal approx cost Baht 6400...just fill in the form send all passport forms plus payment form (fill the amount in sterling send by EMS Thai post... track it and then within 10 days you will receive your new passport via DHL to your address when you will sign for the document envelope.

Then you go to immigration and have your visa stamps transferred into your new passport...at no cost.

I have just done it all this past week.

After reading these posts let me give you my experience ....My British Passport was due to expire 11/12/13 I applied for new one 8/8/13 received 22/8/13. Retirement visa due 28/1/14 when renewed 28/1/13 it was valid through until expiry date of passport 11/12/13

Today I had visa transfer made into new passport .....valid until 28/1/14........all stamps from 2006 transferred over two pages and no charge.

Do Not Sign Anything ........Before you know it she will be down the land office with your signature few baht under the counter and you have lost everything........there are agents who can handle your rental.....they have premises on main roads and are LEGAL.

Why don't you just tell them the house is sold including the company at the price then its up to them to sort it out later...I have just sold and that is what I did House inc Company....otherwise you are going to have many headaches with the Thai part.....sorry.

You will probably have to start now with injections and blood tests as that can take a few months.....then there is 6 months quarantine,,,,,,UK are strict.

BA ..Emirates,,KLM are all excellent for animal transportation.

Think about it .......having shipped twice using containers decided to forget it when coming to Thailand in fact was advised against it as you can end up having to pay whatever they say.......you have no bargaining power......customs have your goods....Can work out very costly. I ended up selling everything and what few treasures I wanted to keep sent them through DHL.. .

Where do you clear customs on Koh Samui if your luggage arrives on a domestic flight? I know the difference between Customs and Immigration.

Are you not supposed to clear customs on destination arrival as going on to Bangkok Air would be classed as a domestic flight....just curious

You say you have 49% each.....who holds the other 2% of the company? That is possibly where you may have problems as the norm for a foreigner purchasing with a company is..... 49% Foreigner and 51% Thai..

If the 2% is held by a Thai......you are screwed....sorry.

The best thing to do is pay her off.. NOW otherwise you will end with nothing as she will turn you over Big Time......You state you have been married 13months so for her its now time to move the next one in you have served your purpose.......sorry I do not want to offend you in any way but sadly this is the way it is this side of the planet.. Sure she has made contact with a Thai? accountant....he will probably be in on it working against you........Be Very Careful and do not go long with.any of her suggestions.....stay safe.

Would it not be easier to adopt a South African child? I'm sure there are many children there who would like to have a family life......or is it a look at me .....the Angelina Jolie syndrome.....just to be a talking point.
