  1. Greetings!

I'm looking for an accounting system to use in a company for managing basic daily transactions: stock inventory, invoicing, PNL, etc...

The company is a very small enterprise distributing consumer goods.

Would you recommend any accounting app, specially those apps developed by Thai local companies?

    Thanks for any feedback!

I print around 10-30k boxes every few months and the prices are very reasonable, but it all depends on what type of paper you want, quantity, as well as what printing.

As well as usage, and how much weight you want to put in or stack

Also the prices between 3k 5k and 10k are different, for you it might not be significant  based on your operation

    Hi Zeid,
Which shop have you ordered from?
    Cheers!

There is a small but excellent cardboard box factory on Pridi-3 (soi-3) off Sukhumvit 71, Phra Khanong, about a 3 minute walk from the Phra Khanong BTS station.

From the BTS, take exit #3, at street, walk in direction of traffic and turn left onto Suk. soi 69.  100 m. and take 1st right.  Shop is about 100 meters on right side.  Closed Sundays.

Thanks a lot Dave, really appreciate your advice.
I'll be contacting them....I believe this is the shop you referred to?

  4. Good morning guys,

I just arrived in Thailand with a Non B visa, and I'm going to the Labour Office for getting my first Work Permit.

I've been informed that I must provide a Medical Certificate which requires a blood test (for syphilis testing).

Is that information correct? If so, do you know any clinic that could provide the medical certificate without the need of running a blood test?

    Thanks!

Your post does not give enough information.

    1. Do you live in Malaysia and work for a company in Malaysia that requires you to travel to Thailand on business on behalf of the company, or

    2. do you have a receipt for a work permit application (WP.3) for employment with a Thai company, or

    3.  are you already employed by a Thai company and have a work permit, or

    4. do you live outside Thailand and a Thai company of which you are a shareholder has invited you to a shareholders' meeting?

I'm currently in Thailand with a tourist visa and I've just setup a Co. Ltd. which I'm a shareholder.

The WP3 is OK....Now flying to KL for applying for a Non B....

  6. Hello guys!

I'm preparing the documents to apply for a Non B visa in KL, but I'm not a 100% confident that I got the right Invitation Letter format (it was prepared by myself as I'm the company shareholder).

Do you have any Invitation Letter that you used when applying for B Visa that you could kindly share with me? Of course all private information may be delete on the letter template.

    Thanks a lot!

  7. Hi guys!!

Here is the case: I've setup my own Thai Limited company, where I have 25% shares, another shareholder 74% and another shareholder 1%.

There is no director assigned under my company right now (I'm planning to have myself assigned as director once I get my work permit).

The 74% shareholder and I are the only two company's representatives authorized to sign any documents in behalf of the company.

2million capital is fully paid, and we have 4 employees (all requirements for getting a Non B are in place).

When the company issues the supporting documents required for applying for WP3 and Non B visa, my partner and I would be the ones authorized to sign all documents.

Would it be any issues with Labour Department or Immigration/Embassy if the employer's documents (issued by the company) are also signed by myself (the visa applicant/employee)?

For those who have setup their own company, who have signed the documents issued by your own company?

Thanks a lot for any feedback!

  8. Thank you for the input and link Joe.

After checking that link, I noticed that applies for foreigner working as teacher (Change visa - FOR FULFILLING THE DUTY OR RESPONSIBILITY AS AN IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER OF FOREIGNER WORKING AS TEACHER IN THAILAND).
However, I couldn't find a specific topic for foreigner working hired by a company.

I'm also wondering whether it would be less hassle to apply abroad for Non B instead of applying here in Thailand. Any thoughts?

I have seen no reports of the consulate in Bali issuing a multiple entry non-b visa.

I am certain you will not be able to get one there. They go by the same requirements as the embassy in Jakarta.

The embassy website states they only issue multiple entry non-b visas for business.

"Single-Entry Visa: IDR 1,120,000 (for employment and short-term business meetings)

Multiple-Entry Visa: IDR 2,800,000 (for frequent short-term business meetings only)"

    Source: http://www.thaiembassyjakarta.com/en/consular-services/non-immigrant-visa-b/

Thanks for the input Joe. It makes sense that Bali will be following Jakarta's policy.

In this case I believe the best option would be to apply for a single-entry visa, and once in Thailand apply for a multiple-entry one.

I hope to hear from anyone that has successfully applied for a single-entry B visa in Bali.

  10. Hi guys!
Can a Thai local limited company have its shareholders (exclusively shareholder, not director) registered in the SSO (Social Security Office) in Chiangmai as employee of the same company?

I would like to hear about anyone's experience in dealing with this particular case, and for those that managed it successfully, what documents have you provided to SSO?
    Thanks in advance !

If you really want high quality you can go to one of the high end printers who do product packaging etc... instead of a small printing place in a shopping mall. I had my business cards printed at this one:

    http://santipab.co.th/?lang=en

I ordered from Satipab few months ago (and gogoprint.co.th), and both delivered very low quality business cards. I wouldn't recommend those anymore.

  12. Hi everyone!
I had pretty bad experiences in my last 4 orders for business cards.

Can anyone recommend a VERY high quality business card shop in Bangkok?
Just for information, the artwork is ready; and by high quality I mean clear and solid colors, clean borders and symmetric shape.

    Thanks a lot!
