how does a non o retirement holder go about getting the 15 months that I have heard about?

thanks for the reply. so do i understand correctly that you are saying their id card says if they are married or not? This looks like the right place to post this question. I can understand why foreigners would need a affirmation of freedom to marry Thai women in Thailand Does the same hold true for Thai women? Do they need a divorce certificate if they have been married before and are considering re-marrying? The answer is obvious in the west but on a daily basis I am reminded that I am in the east.
The Ampur office and their ID card has all their records, including marriage status.
The Ampur office doesn't have your details.

What is yellow book please? First time I have heard that term.It should just be the passport and filled out TM.47 form. If you are already extended from that office do not believe they will require proof of address again but nothing hurt in having it and copies if asked. Being first report you will not have previous TM.47 receipt so may be extra things asked.
I extend in Nonthaburi and take copies of passport pages, departure card and page from yellow book, sometimes I get them back sometimes I don't, depends on the officer who is there at the time.

I just received my 12 month visa based on retirement. My first 90 day report is in February and my reporting office is Kap Choeng in Surin province. My question is do I need to take anything with me other that proof of address? I am still a newbie with alot to learn about this visa thing. thanks

I am US citizen that will be entering LOS from Iraq and I do not have the ability to aquire LOS visa here prior to entry. Can I go straight from airport to BKK consutate and get a 90 visa? If so, what do I need to take with me for this process? I am new to this web site and these forums and I am so glad that I have found you. I am looking at possible LOS retirement after a 90 day fact finding trip and then I will have to go to the states for a while before making the big move back to LOS. Thanks in advance for all your help.

I have been to LOS twice and going back with the intent of looking around for a place to retire. I have carried a Leatherman multi-tool that has a three inch knife blade in a sheath on my belt for most of my adult life. I feel naked without my Leatherman. Is it legal to carry this in LOS?

Departure time limit? Does the K1 become invalid if she does not depart Thailand within a pecified time frame?
