  1. I would like to find out a little more information re land titles in Thailand ie properties with out a chanot note..I understand many people live in Thailand and buy and sell properties without a CN..Can anyone give me the heads up on their opinion of this situation..The questions i wouldnt mind hearing some info on..1..any ideas on what % of the population live on properties without a chanot? 2.Why has there not been a concerted action by the Thai people to change the situation if there is a seriously large % of people that live under these conditions..3.If properies can only be owned by Thai nationals why does this situation still exist. 4. Has there been any co-ordinated effort to change this situation..I know this is probably a very old topic..but was kinda wondering if the weight of numbers might be enough to alter the situation

  2. Tiger airways from perth to Singapore then on to bangkok usually cheapest..Pick the right flight and you will only do a 4 hour stop in Singapore..Check out Air Asia also via Kuala Lumpar..You can often get a good cheap flight with them to KL and then connect on to Chiang Mai Perth Phuket is only viable if you hit a special..And if you are looking for a good search flight engine site..Try Momondo..It does all the searching for you

  3. Very interesting article..i am sure and i have no doubt you are right with satistics..But i think you need to also factor in the changing face of Thailand..Many of the nouveau rich in thailand have achieved that status by selling off the family land and replacing it with a new car/apartment or one or another of the westen ideals that as we speak in relation to the world markets are no longer credible..The basics are changing very quickly..And Thailand like Bali and most emerging Asian countries is in danger of leaving behind the very things that allowed then a decent feed and a cheap beer..Lets hope not and that they keep the values of the common people

  4. Thanks for that Mario..i have to apply by post as they have closed the Perth consulate..I am a bit naive mate. Honoury consulate? Meaning any of the thai consulates in the other states ? Also the require outward flight info on the visa app Just talk with someone in the visa office and state the situation you reckon?

  5. I am about to apply for a non immigrant o visa to go spend time with the cheese and kisses(thai wife) in thailand..It seems that there is a bit of conjecture as to whether they will issue a multiple entry for one year or will only issue a 90 day..Can anyone clarify this a bit for me i will be applying in Australia prior to travel..And secondly is it still required to book an outbound flight for the 90 days even if intended to extend on a multiple entry(ie cross a neighbouring border..?.If so would an open date ticket be the way to go cheers
