  1. Hello to you all.

I could need some help to work out and confirm if my plan will work.

    Situation:

German citizen married with a german wife.

I will be 50 years old in August this year.

A own a Condo in Bangkok.

I have a company in germany.

I had been in Thailand many times in the last five years. mostly on Tourist Visa single entry 60 days because the Thai embassy in germany told me that they have no idea what i can do to stay a longer period in Thailand if i am under 50 years old.

So i went to Cambodia and Laos many times to get another Tourist Visa.

And also many times i went to the Government Complex at Chaeng Wattana to get an extension for an additional 30 Days.

I know about ED Visa but i never made it because it is too complicate and also a waste of money.

At the beginning of this year i came to Bangkok on a Non Imm. "B" Visa as i also planned to open a business in Bangkok.

But this plan failed because my business partner did not show up with the money as he promised and maybe i will just buy one more condo instead and rent it out.

My Visa will end at 1st of April.

    So my first Question !

For how many days the immigration will give me an extension to this type of Visa?

Because i have a date at the 1st of April at the Register office for tambien baan, maybe i am lucky and they will register my name in this tambien baan this will make many things easier.

The officer already has a certified translation of my passport stamped by embassy and the Ministry of foreign affairs. Contract of buying the condo, tambien baan, photos, two thai people as witness but i am still not sure that he will register me with the 90 day "B" visa.

    Second question:

Can i get registered my name in the tabien baan on basis of this type of visa?

Someone told me this is only possible with a one year visa. The officer did not talk clearly about and i dont want to push them.

Does anybody have any experience ?

    Third question:

I also want to buy a car and register it on my own name and address and make a driver license.

But i dont want to wait until my retirement visa is issued.

Is this possible in general ?

Therefore i will need a certificate of residence of my embassy (got it already), a medical test, photos and what else i will need ?

I want to do this in the next weeks because i had the experience that if i show up with a tourist visa nobody grants anything official to me.

So i hope this will work.

    Last but not least

I already booked my flight back to germany for August and i will hopefully get a retirement visa in germany after my 50th birthday.

(Thank you all at TV for the informations how to proceed)

I will put 800k on a bank account in June.

How to stay in Thailand until August ?

I think i will need two more visa run to extend my stay and heared the rumors about the visa trouble with more than two consecutive tourist visa. I hope they will not rely on my current business visa.

    Any clever idea ?

Thank you for every clever advise and information.

  2. @ cardholder

I am married already as i wrote in my first introducing Posting and i am searching for a possibility to get a NI - visa BEFORE i am 50 years old. THXermm.gif

    @MJCM

I will buy a condominum around 5-6millon as i wrote in my first introducing Posting and to invest over the B.O.I. is very complicating and a lot of bureaucratic things to do. A friend did like this and he is not happy about. Especially in the matter of inheritance it will be complicating to get the money out of thailand again as far as he informed me about.

    @ all

Isn´t it possible to get a Non - immigrant Visa for buying a condo in a Thai Embassy ? Does anyone know how to get it or about the requirements leading to a Non Immigrant Visa?rolleyes.gif

  3. Hello to you all.

I am a german citizen, living now a longer time (18month ) in Thailand and now i want to buy a small property (condominium value aproxx 5-6 million baht), register a car and a motorcycle on my name and want to get a thai - driving licence too.

The problem is that for register a vehicle you need minimum a certificate of residence which is not available with a tourist visa.

I am married but not with a thai citizen. I am under 50 (47) and i am not working because i have a small business in germany. This business is still running under an employed manager.

My plan is to stay in Thailand about 10 to 11 month of a year and to travel only two times back to germany for christmas and for the summer holidays of my shop manager. So in three years it will be much easier because of my age, but i really dont want to wait so long.

Sometimes i would like to travel around in Asia too, but i really do not like to make these travel plans under the pressure to go out of thailand because i need a new visa. So a Non immigrant visa for one year would be a better solution for my needs.

I tried before to get at the thai embassy in germany a non immigrant visa but my request was always rejected.

What do i have to do to get at my next visit in germany at the thai embassy a non immigrant visa for sure.

I still have the fear that if i buy a condominium with a tourist visa only someday somebody in a embassy like vientiane will tell me "too many stamps" and i cannot even go back to my property at all.

And also i dont like to have my vehicles registered to somebody else and a thai driving license is always very helpful everywhere in Thailand.

Thank you for your comments in advance.

    Stefan
