  1. No, you will need to apply at the immigration office within the Government Complex at Chaeng Wattana.

    Thank you.

OP if possible renew your PP, you will then have no problem in obtaining a new TV at Vientiane if required

I only need to stay in Bangkok for another 3-4 months so planning to get a couple 30day stamps + extensions. I will definitely renew before my next trip to Thailand thanks

  2. I've read that it's possible to extend a visa exempt stamp for 30 days at Immigration. Can I do this at the Silom immigration office? I'm American and this is my first visa exempt stamp. I've been here since October on a double entry (which I got from USA) followed by a single entry visa from Laos.

I have this stamp because I was denied a single entry visa on my 2nd trip to Laos. I only had 1 previous visa from Vientiane this year. When I asked why they pointed to a note they left on my passport in 2013 when I did a few double entry visas there. I've read here many times that visa runs from 3 years ago would not affect getting a visa now, but apparently that's not true for everyone.

  3. I'm attempting to get fiber installed at my new condo. I've been told no already by True and 3BB. I still need to visit the TOT and CAT offices. I'm just hoping for something more reliable and faster than DSL.

    1. Are there any other ISPs offering cable or fiber?

    2. Anyone here have TOT or CAT fiber in Bangkok? How are the international speeds lately? What plan are you on?

    Thanks

  4. Does anyone live in or know which apartments in Ratchada allow 3BB/True/TOT installation in room? Most places I've asked don't allow it and I don't think I can afford a condo in the area.

The rep I talked to at true asked if I was going to be on the 1st floor at my place. Is that usually the case with DOCSIS/cable internet? Am I out of luck with these tower apartments?

  5. I'd like to stay in Thailand for a year.

Am I able to get a single entry visa by flying to KL every 3 months (60+30 extension at thai embassy)? I think I have to stay 2-3 days to get the visa, right?. Will I be able to do this 4 times?

I guess my other option for KL is flying in every month but only staying for a few hours at the airport and coming right back? Would I be able to do this 12 times?

    Thanks for your help.
