  1. Hello,

I am running into the same problem. I have AIS for 12 years. Received sms from my French bank with no problem until 12/2022.

Lost my phone, got a new sim card with same number and new phone. I need only to receive 1 OTP SMS from my bank to activate my bank security pass on my new phone.

But I don't receive it. It has been back and forth with AIS and my French bank for 3 weeks going nowhere as described by many in the thread and I am stuck.

Found this thread and read it entirely. Outside of an overseas sim card is there a solution?

*137 does not work, my sms settings is not restricted already, spam filter is already off.

Before reading this thread I thought transfering my number to DTAC (change my mobile operator) but from what I read it did not help others...

If anyone has an advice to get out of this situation I would really appreciate.

    Cheers!

  2. Hi Guys! I just bought my Nmax this morning. Does any of you got a first class insurance? How much did you pay and what is the name of the company insuring you?

The Yamaha dealer gave me a quote of 16600thb for a first class insurance with Falcon... Really a joke since it is more than what I pay for my Kawasaki Versys 650 which is 3 times the value of an Nmax...

On top of the compulsory third party insurance Yamaha Dealer was offering a theft insurance (2000thb for 1 year, 2500thb for 2 years, 3000thb for 3 years) and an additional accident insurance 1700thb for 1 year for which he was not able to explain anything about...

If any of you got a descent second or first class insurance please let me know.

    Thanks

  3. Hello Guys,

Could anyone point me in the direction of a place in Bangkok where I could buy fabric rolls?

I am looking to buy rolls of waterproof fabric minimum 230gr/m2 for outdoor usage of different colors for a project.

    Thanks!

  4. Very constructive answer Cobrabiker saai.gif Shame that on this TV forum there are more and more useless answers like yours where people feel obliged to bash on any sort of question.

I am also curious to hear from Coocase Thailand and from people who actually use them, how do they compare with the market leaders like Givi and Shad.

They look very neat on the pictures and video and seems competitively priced for Thailand for the features advertised.

But how do they actually feel compared to the other big brands quality wise? (closing mechanism, quality/thickness/feel of the material used, waterproofness...)

    Thanks for your help cowboy.gif

    Keep riding!

  5. Hello there,

There is a good shop with sat nav holders in Fortune Tower. There is a shop call GPS4YOU selling garmin gps on the 2nd or 3rd floor just next to the elevator steps. They have a good selection of solutions.

For the 12v supply you can go to Friendly's rider (see contact details and location in Motorcycle directory project), Thun is a very good electrician for bikes and will install that neatly for you in no time. Actually even for the holder he might have a solution for you.

    Ride safe!cowboy.gif

  6. the Position of Pirelli Motorcycle tires in On Nut is a little bit wrong.

    The exact Position is: N 13.71087 E 100.63626

Hello krbkk, the position of show pow pirelli is exact. If you do a google view on the pin, you'll see that it is the side entrance to bring your motorbike directly in the shed on the back of the shop. Once parked there they'll take you're motorbike in the shop to change the tyres from the back... You are right, the front of the shop is on soi sukumvit 77 like your gps coordinate indicates... It is 20m away...

  7. When I was younger in Siem Reap Cambodia, going out of a local club at around 3am, completly pissed, during the rainy season, my friend and I decided it was the best time to go and see the sunrise on Tonle Sap (the biggest lake in SEA).

We took our 250s without helmet and started racing the 30kms to the lake, until we reached a very mudy batch... We were at low speed trying to get through but my friend fell and while I was going to help him my bike fell into the mud as well. Then the fun started, we were so drunk and it was so slippery that we could not find the energy to but the bikes up and running again... After a while trying, we got so exhausted that we decided to sit on the side of the track and wait for someone to pass by to help us... You have to imagine 2 stupid farang covered in mud, in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night, with 2 250's in the horizontal position in the middle of a mudy track...

After some time some fishermens coming back from the lake on their bicycle passed next to us with a frighten look, they probably first thought that we were ghosts or aliens... They kindly helped us to get our bikes out of there, then we looked at each other and decided it was about time to go back home...

It was really stupid but some good memories wink.png

  8. Last saturday going to Kanchanaburi we took the Elevated Borommaratchachonnani road (AH123), just a 100m going up on the overpass there was a little hut with 2 cops hiding from the sun. As soon as they saw our lights from far they moved into the middle of the road quiete determined to stop us.

I hesitated really as we just spent 1 hour in the heat of traffic trying to get out of Bangkok... I started to make my move as if I was going to stop and thought "what the hell", it was safe to do so, so I put the gas right up and passed. Unfortunalty my friend on the other bike behind me really thought I was going to stop and already moved his way in so could not avoid them. He talked to them, telling them that he was so thirsty and hungry going out of the heavy traffic of Bangkok and they let him go....

These overpasses rules are so stupid, I can understand for the scooters as they cannot keep up with the speed of the cars but as for big bikes it really does not make any sens...

Not only did I say I was thirsty, I said I was dying and would die very soon if he did not let me to on to a PTT to get some water biggrin.png

While I was reckoning with him, his colleague was busy flagging down other vehicles for imagined infringements as well. So after a while, he probably felt that he would have a better chance getting some money off them.

It did dawn on me later that I could have been in big trouble if he decided to get tough and "arrest" me for having my friend speed off, I would just pretend then I do not know you, just followed you up the ramp smile.png

I have to say I felt very guilty for you after the action rolleyes.gif, I really thought that as I had attracted their attention you would pass on the right like a flower. Not to repeat again such thing, I actually don't care to pay 200thb to use an overpass from time to time, I always use them so it is to consider like a toll when that happens... But no way I was going to put up with another hour of traffic under that bloody overpass cowboy.gif

  10. Cannot comment on the Lazer but if you are looking for ventilation I can advise you to look at the Nolan N43E trilogy Air.

I have a full face Arai and a convertible Givi helmet that I was using before in "temperate" countries but here it is just too bloody hot for me.

So I looked around on the internet and found about this helmet that is supposed to be one of the best for ventilation. I bought it in Dirt Shop Bkk (see motorcycle directory) for about 10000thb and it is just perfect for me. Yes it is true that there is less noise reduction than in my other helmets but man you can breath in this helmet and the ventilation is just amazing. For me it is the perfect helmet for Thailand.

I decided to buy another one for my wife as well, but could not find the size here (only S available and it was too big) so bought the XS size one from a website in andorra detaxed (www.motocard.com) for about 7000thb with ups shipping to Thailand and paid 2400thb of taxes on arrival so nearly the same price than if I would have bought it here. You could probably find it cheap as well from US websites.

If you are interested in that helmet just know that Nolan has just released the new version of this N43 Air which is called the N44 classic ncom n3, it is suppose to be even better for ventilation.

Hope this help, ride safe thumbsup.gif

  13. For those who are looking for esthetic mods, I discovered a shop which is doing some nice aluminium parts at reasonable prices in china town.

It is called bikers (www.bikers.co.th). On their website go to accessories then select Kawasaki Er6n....

I bought a few parts for my Versys and it is good quality.

    Ride safe!
