Fully agree to this procedure. Did it myself 1 minute ago and it works fine.
You don't really need the Mor Prom app. Just scan the QR code on your certificate from the hospital and you will be taken directly to the website that shows you the green certificate. Make a screenshot, crop it a bit and you're done. You get precisely the same thing as on the app.- 1

The spokesman at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Thanee Saengrat told Daily News yesterday that between August 1st and 25th 54,745 foreign residents of Thailand had applied for vaccinations against Covid-19 on expatvac.consular.go.th.
These 54,745 do not include those several thousands that were rejected because the system could not take 2 uploads of passport pages as instructed. Invalid in all respects

Who was it that ended a letter to a friend: "sorry I didn't have the time to make it brief?"
-
Only saying...a sideliner website I follow went in 2 weeks from 26 university girls to 460...just saying.
What does this mean? Please clarify.

Why not include 'yellow book only' as this book include the 13 ID digits?

I like people who can make it brief. Bill Gross is such one and says: "You need something to look forward to, something to do and someone to love". The ability to do so comes from your own qualities and from the opportunities in your surroundings. I don't think for me other countries would make a big difference. We are different. Others may be more 'sensitive' to surrounding country?

Is it then correct that the usual big banks at present give 0.25% at Saving Accounts and 0.375%-0.5% at Fixed Accounts 3 mths? Other higher figures are history. So hardly worth the effort to change a Saving Account to a Fixed Account.

Thank you. But quite expensive. Probably also why True vision skips it
Bloomberg Digital
Monthly Digital:$34.99$1.99/month*Annual Digital:$34.60$24.20/month** -
Does someone know why True Vision cancels Bloomberg TV November 2020?
Are there any alternative ways to get access to Bloomberg TV? -
and VOA is ?

Your words may have some interesting things in it. I don't know and it is too long for me to bother. Remember Mark Twins words: “I apologize for such a long letter - I didn't have time to write a short one.” Could you write the same on ½ page structured wirh premises and conclusions?

I have being reading these threads with interest since I am set to retire from work and thinking of my options concerning Thailand .
The more I do the more confused I get, It seems the consensus is that no one really has an idea.
So I guess we will know in a couple of days.
Or will we?
since the ones who are tasked with enforcing the regulation also seem to have no idea as to who it applies to.
Niels Bohr once at an oral exam in physics was asked by an assistant: 'Hr. Professor, aren't these questions the same as the ones from last year?'
He answered:'Yes, but this year the answers are new'.

Seeing as this is Thailand, if you can't get the insurance I guess it will tough luck - buy an Elite visa or go home. But I suspect that's the point of it.
Thanks for the last clarification. Fully agree that Elite visa or exodus seem to be the options (at present) for this group of expats that often have been here for many years. Maybe 15-25 years. Personally - as beeing one of them - I think things have reached a breaking point where quality of life here has gone much down and cost of living much up. I would not recommend people to settle here now. 15 years ago I would.

Whilst applying for my first non-O extension, I overheard a conversation between an IO and an Australian gentleman doing the same. She very clearly told him that next year he WILL need insurance to renew the extension so it will be applying to existing extension holders, at least at the Ubon office.
And again: Did the gentleman gently ask: 'What if I cannot get an insurance because of age or pre-existing conditions'?

I am getting seriously tired of all this nonsense. Only motive to please insurance company partners. Maybe Southern Spain or France should be seriously considered for me as an EU citizen

I am now 74 and has been living in Thailand for 12 years.
Don't listen to such an unconditioned statement. If you feel like it and you can take care of yourself then come.If you have blue eyes then remember the sun glasses and wear them (If in doubt why then ask the eye doctor)

Thanks but this does not answer my question . My friend obtained his first type 0 based on retirement in Bangkok last year. Is he eligible to get a re-entry permit before expiration date which would give him a second year without applying for extension of stay ?
You friend is now in possession of a Non-Immigrant O visa which has not yet expired. On i it says number of entries. If it is 'M' this means multiple within expiration date.
With this in hand he can not apply for re-entry permit as he already has this permit.
If your friend is here on his 2nd year after Non-Immigrant O visa with en extension of permission to stay for RETIREMENT (which is not a visa) he can apply for re-entry permit but the given permit will expire the same date as the permission to stay.
So a re-entry permit can not 'give a second year'

Get an Extension of Stay based on retirement, assuming you meet the financial requirements.

That was the case 1-2 days ago. Today a lot points towards that that group also will be included. A lot of misunderstanding concerning concepts:
- It is common to call the extension of permission to stay for a renewal of the Non-Immigrant O-A or O VISA. The extension is not a visa.
- renew and re-apply
I don't mind getting a reasonable insurance. Just show me a company that will take me with a suitable offer (fitting the immigration requirements).

Not to mention if he has a family here, there are plenty of visa or Extension options that do not have compulsory insurance requirements.

I am very interested. Could you please be specific and mention by name which ones applicable for foreign retired males above fifty which are living permanently in Chiang Mai?
