From what i have seen many of the health insurance plans out there are backed by Allianz.
-
Like others on this topic, I am looking for a combination of insurance and self-insurance, with the insurance cover for just the higher cost items, but when I looked on the Bupa site http://www.bupa.co.th/en/individuals/health-insurance/compare-insurance-plan.aspx?cgid=6 the Thailand only insurance just covers ฿600,000 a year.
I am also searching for a good health insurance and im currently looking into msh international. They have plans that cover up to 1 mil USD annually.
F.Y.I. the company has a plan called vital which covers you for your hospitalization costs. Check it out and let me know your opinion

Many, many threads here on the same subject.
Sorry for my quickly subject.
Thank you for your information.>I have been using BUPA comprehensive plan for last 15 yrs, no complaints. But I have never had any major health problems, just the occasional OPD visit.
Btw, I do some search on MSH International.
They have many websites but looks like this is a main website for Thailand region sea.msh-intl.com, because their headquarter just here in Bangkok.
Thanks ENOCH, for sharing the link. Msh international apparently has an office here in Bangkok beside Phloen Chit BTS station...
The plan they are offering seems comprehensive.

No matter what visa you have i believe you have to notify the authority once every 90 days.

Yes, a lot of people are under the impression Thai food is very healthy but in reality a lot of it is fried and a lot contains various oils, it's very tastey though!
very true. The other thing most expats fail to recognize is that 80% of the thai food restaurants in Thailand use high amount of M.S.G in the food they prepare. Fish sauce (Naam pla) is the most common source of M.S.G

Im not really certain how much positive effect the new law will have on the student's learning...i just hope they are learning quality materials...knowledge about other countries and global issues are also very important....the system should educate the students on cultures other than American and European.
