My wife has ILR which is a card similar to a credit card which is used in conjunction with her Thai passport, have I missed something?
Is this the biometric one?If so how is it obtained?

Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) What is IDR?
Its a typing error(my fault) but the titles self explanatory
-
The lady wants it in her current passport, thank you
-
A IDR is in a thai passport and the lady wants this to be in her new thai passport that she will apply for soon as her existing passport has approx 1 year remaining or she is happy to have it transferred in to her existing thai passport.
How doe she go about having the IDR transferred?

The market is changing and the younger generation are keen on experiences and a smartphone is all they need. Also they desire to visit as many different places in as many different countries as possible.
A strong baht does not really affect these tourists in the way it did in days of old.
I am 50 and remember my parents travelled well but often revisited places they liked and spent freely this is not the case now especially with asian tourists who make up a significant proportion of visitors.
Tourism is a constantly changing market and one country cannot hold the crown forever.

Allow the children to practise critical thinking rather than the current system of only listening.

I travel to Thailand 6 or 7 times a year to spend a couple of days in Bangkok before travelling to issan to visit my g/f and children and i would stay 2-3 weeks each trip.I am able to make these trips because my business in the uk is easily managed by staff when i am away.
What is the best visa to obtain for this type of travel.
The reason i am asking as each time i arrive i am stood an age at the immigration desk while my passport is examined and the io looks disapprovingly at my previous entries going back to 2011.
Sensible answers are appreciated

I flew Turkish business class last month and on leaving the plane we were given a fast track pass.
If you need a buggy you should request one. The pass takes you through the priority lane the entrance is 20 or so meters after the entrance you would take for normal immigration.
Also AOT taxi 1000bht in to bangkok their are a few desks near the baggage carousel its better than queuing downstairs for a taxi.

how can you tell if you can't see through the window?
You don’t need to see their faces the driving style tells all.
But then again many Asians and not just Thais are never taught to think constructively or even question any method they are taught and often they sit a short test and learn from a book in many subjects.
On the whole they lack consideration for other road users and no doubt this leads to many fatalities.
Basically a combination of thinking your right because you have never dared question a method and selfishness leaves them in this situation.

It is the arrogant impatient me first attitude while hiding behind tinted windows that will ensure nothing ever changes.

Thanks for the input.
It is the Second hand Watch shops in Central World who have made exorbitantly low offers.
The difference between their buy valuation and sell price of the same Model is huge !
I guess they have to cover their costs / shop rental and staff fees and if they only sell one watch per month they may do this.
I've yet to go to the second hand watch dealers in MBK but will give them a try.
Watchfinder in the UK will give you an online offer on your watches and it may be worth the flight to bring them to the UK to sell them,Watchfinder have a few shops now and are offering good prices.
-
Central world and mbk have a good selection of dealers who specialise in pre owned high end watches.Central world I believe the shops are or were on the same upper floor as the main banks.Mbk it’s the walk in entrance from the sky train level I seem to see the most dealers.
When dealing with small high value goods it’s best to deal in person with a shopkeeper than a stranger.
Take your id and insist on photos of your watch and serial numbers together with the buyer so their are no misunderstandings later.

30000 a month and their should be no issues it's more than enough for a family of 3-4 to be comfortable.
You don't only want your family to survive you want them to have a decent standard of living as long as you can afford it.
Be aware as with ladies in any country they will almost always push for more money you just have to be aware of the actual cost of living and be comfortable your doing your best.

Sadly I agree with above all. My mum is from Issan but I was brought up in the UK. My cousins are living in Issan and whenever I go back to visit them they see me as a gold mine - expecting presents or money!
My husband is English and we both have decent jobs in London. We both work very hard to have a decent living given living standard in London is very high. My cousins think we are billionaire -.- all of them dream of having a farang husband and live in fairyland! They don't appreciate working hard to make their lives better.
Summed up perfectly

I am due to be in Thailand in 10 days and after all this helpful advice i will be keeping her money at 25k month and explaining why.I have a lot of information now from the answers you have all given if it doesn't satisfy her it has certainly convinced me.
In the past i assumed 3 people every day 500bht thats 15000 month food and drinks,1500 ac electric,500bht water,1000bht school snacks and after school money and the other 7000bht she could do whatever she wanted with it including transport costs, medicine, cosmetics, parents ect.
Thats a lot more than just giving enough money to exist or live the same as her neighbours.
Looks like i have a greedy girl and she's not going to win by extracting more money for no reason other than she thinks she can.
Neither am i going to leave her and miss out on having a good relationship with my son over money issues and throw a 5 year relationship away.

Thank you some good comments here all pointing to the fact she can manage on the 25000Bht a month and does not need more,i thought as much but wanted other opinions. As some posters say its nice for her to have a decent standard of living rather than just existing especially with children to consider.
I tend to visit thailand for 2 weeks every couple of months and have never really considered how they live,i like to enjoy life when i am here as i work hard in the uk maybe she has seen this pattern of spending and thinks its time she had more?

It would be helpful to have some statistics on living costs in Issan for a family of three.
Possibly breakdowns from your own living costs?
