I am based in Bang Por but anywhere on the island is fine by me as it does not take long to reach any point from here.
I have looked at Bang Rak area but it all seems so busy that there are very few vacant moorings.
I will have a look at Thong Krut - thank you

I am about to buy a new boat - around 28 to 30 feet and want to have a safe place to keep it. I do not want to keep on taking it out of the water so would welcome some advice on where I can moor it.

I lease my car from Avis in Thailand and they have given me the best customer service I have ever had from any car rental anywhere in the world. Every email is answered within a couple of hours and they even called me to check I was happy with their service

I have bought several condos in Bangkok. I look for older buildings within the prime Sukhumvit area (easier to let to farangs) that give me a return of not less than 6.5%. There are literally thousands of them and the biggest problem is deciding which building is the best bet. I never pay more that Bt5 million for a condo as I want to spread my investment as wide as possible. I have retained an agency to seek out likely properties and also to manage the condos once they are mine. I ignore the BS you get on here about property values as the whole point of buying the properties is to maintain an income over many years an not to realise capital gains. There is no point in having cash if it does not work for you and provide an income.

I have a well and I had the water tested by the Dubai government testing labs. The result is that our water has excessive amounts of minerals which will probably not affect your health but it also contains bacteria of a sort that will not cause any health problems but may exacerbate existing health conditions. In view of this I use tap water for washing etc but have fitted a simple tap mounted filter which has silver nitrate as the effective ingredient to neutralise the bacteria. The filter also catches the mineral particles to produce fairly clean water for drinking. Having said that we do buy bottled water for drinking mainly because it has become a habit after 35 years living in the Middle East.

I had a similar experience earlier this year when I had to go to Japan. Looked at the website and got a price but for some reason could not get site to accept booking so called the call centre. The price I finally paid through the call centre was Bt6,500 cheaper than the website. Now I always use the call centre

Can anyone tell me where in Makro I can find sausage skins? I have looked all over the place and can only find pig intestines and I would prefer the collagen variety
-
I think they are natural. I have a new box at home that I didn't use , let me check. You can have it if you want.Would anyone happen to know if the sausage skins on sale at Makro are natural hog casings or collagen casings?
A box?
Do you have a sausage stuffer for sale?
I do have a stuffer, but it is part of the mincer. Not for sale. But might be able to get one on my next trip.

Almost impossible to get really good sausages here but Tops do some good Irish ones in the frozen cabinet. I too would give yours a try if you start making them
