I have used Netflights many times, never had a problem, but this year I booked with Asda just a few pounds cheaper than Netflights (who used to be Airline Network )

I stayed at the Thepnakorn last November, it is a bit far out from the town, it is not a bad hotel but the breakfast is only so so. Yes the Bamboo Bar is still open.

Thanks Cardholder... Is The Threpnakorn Hotel or Siam hotel in the centre of town?
Im not looking for soapy massages etc... I'm just worried that there will be NOTHING to do while I'm sure during the night hours.

Has anyone had any experience with getting a refund from Nok Air, they cancelled my flight six weeks ago, and told me the refund would take four weeks. I have emailed them twice and so far have not received any reply

The Thai text is obviously a machine translation based on an English text and as such, some parts will be incomprehensible to a Thai person.
ฉันปรับ back translated means 'I penalty' (fine) and looks like what a machine might suggest for 'I'm fine' - but it makes no sense to a Thai unless their English is good enough to know that fine=good and fine=penalty are homonyms in English - ปรับ and สบายดี are not homonyms in Thai, they are completely different concepts.
It has either been translated by a translator who does not understand what he/she is doing, or by machine translation software.
สวัสดี. Hello (Good health)
ฉันปรับ I fine (=penalty)
ฉันจะไม่ลืมคุณเกินไป = I will not forget you too much.
ฉันไม่รู้สิ่งที่คุณต้องการเกี่ยวกับฉันแต่ฉันหวังว่าคุณพบบุคคลที่ดี I do not know the thing that you need about me but I hope you meet a good individual.
ฉันเยี่ยงพวกท่านแต่จะให้ความสำคัญและปัญหาการสื่อสารระหว่างเรา I as such you sirs but I will give importance and problem of communication between us.
หวังว่าเราจะยังคงเพื่อนถาวร I hope we will still friends forever.

Hi, has anyone any idea how much it would cost to hire a driver (or Taxi ) to take me to Korat, I know there is a bus or the train, but after a twelve hour flight I do not fancy hauling my luggage around, many thanks.

It's actually quite a nice place- I stay there 2x - 3x p/year with the missus (and junior when shes home from school )- in the Penthouse suite - and have never had reason to moan or groan.
Last time there was late October last year - for the weekend. We paid around Baht 6000 (sharing) for the weekend - yes, in the Penthouse suite was jolly good value for what it cost, in my opinion, and gave junior and one of her school friends their own room to share which was around Baht2000 for the weekend.
Food was fine (there was no corking charge on the bottle of vino we brought with), room was cleaned, sheets changed every day ... blah blah , blah blah ...all the usual was up to spec.
Theres half a dozen different types of rooms - priced from around Baht 500 up to Baht 2 000 for the Penthouse. Okay, you can't make a direct comparison with Bangkok rack rates, but still, all round they've got their act together and do a good job.
No hesistation reccomending it.
Thanks for that, much appreciated.

Wonder if anyone can advise...
I am travelling with my wife and baby from Phuket to London via BKK in early July.
Flight from HKT to BKK is on Thai Airways, and then from BKK to LHR on British Airways.
Can I check in for the BA flight from checking in in Phuket? (As I am travelling with an Infant, our seats have already been reserved - bulkhead with baby basinette 28F and G). If not can I check in on line first - or does this confuse matters?
Can I check my bags all the way through to LHR from HKT, or must I collect them in BKK?
I have 2 hours between scheduled arrival in BKK to departure - will this leave enough time, or shoudl I go for the flight 2 hours earlier?
Anything else I should know aout travelling with a baby (2 weeks off a year old at time of travel)?
Really nervous about the journey - I try not to travel long ditances, as I loathe travelling.... but grandparents must see their granddaughter occasionally!
Cheers
I flew form Chiang Mai last year on Thai to BKK and Eva from BKK to LHR and they through booked my luggage in Chiang Mai, so it was very easy at Bkk no luggage to collect and check it in again, if they don't offer to do this it would be worth asking.

Can anyone please tell me how much time to allow to get to the airport( new) on a Sunday morning for a ten o'clock flight.
-
Just out of curiosity are Ten Baht notes still legal tender, it's just that I have a few and would put them in one of the charity boxes at the Airport when I arrive.
-
When we went last year on Thai from London our luggage was through checked and we just went to the transfer desk and went though immigration at Chiang Mai.

You could try Mr Toom (email [email protected]) he charges 1200 baht all inclusive to Pattaya he is based in Bangkok.

We will land in Chiang Mai on the 5th of May and I notice on my Thai Calendar (courtesy of Thai Visa) that it is Coronation Day with the Monday the 7th as a day in lieu, my question is will the shops night bazaar etc all be closed on that day or will it be like a normal day for trading. Many Thanks.
