I know, I know. It's not food but still Hillarious. Trendy public toilets, sukhumvit soi 13, bangkok :-) 

They obviously couldn't be arsed locking the doors knowing they would only have to unlock them again....... 

If you are looking for a less formal place you could try the Sportsman bar and restaurant on sukhumvit soi 13 just behind the ambassador hotel. We have a meeting room that can be used for free. No daytime disturbance as the upstairs area doesn't open till 4.00pm to the general public. It's free to use and we do food and drinks deals to suit all budgets and have mics and projectors available for use from 9am till 1am on a daily basis. 

The Sportsman bar and restaurant is right next to the entrance to the car park at the far end of Trendy building. Any customers at the Sportsman get unlimited free parking in Trendy. Just pop in and get the parking card BEFORE parking car especially if leaving car overnight or you will end up paying over 2000 baht! Alternatively, park your car and order food or drink at the Sportsman and we will stamp your ticket for 2 hours free parking and 30 baht per hour after. The bar is open from 8am to 2am every day.

The Sportsman in Sukhumvit soi 13 has just purchased the 2015-2016 NBA league pass so you can watch whatever game you like when you like alongside the games showing on the NBA channel on true. We serve breakfast from 8am daily :-)

It wasn't on fox sports. I could be wrong but am sure we checked this option. The 2 games this weekend Ireland v Wales and Scotland v Italy are not on fox schedule either. The sportsman will have both games showing with sound along with the challenge cup final on a small screen too. Fox Asia definitely have the rights to show world Cup but maybe struggling as they only have 3 channels with bundesliga on 2 of them and world Athletics Championships on the other one

Fox Sports Asia definitely have the rights. It will be interesting how they juggle it with f1 and bundesliga along with several other live sports. Randomly cutting into other programmes? Saying that, we had customers watching the Roma game on bt sport on Saturday night and the broadcast didn't start till 15 minutes into the game because bt sport was showing a repeat of the women's tennis..... So even the big boys make mistakes!

We will be showing all the big games on UK TV channels in HD with full surround sound including 2am games. If true pull their finger out we will be showing on there instead but after contacting them last week it would seem they have no plans to show it as of yet.

That's good to know Sportsman, and I fully intend to watch a few weekend games in pubs - yours included, but the Wales v England game, for example is on at 2am, If you're able to show the games it must be possible. Care to spill the beans?

No Thai channels have got the rights. Hopefully Setanta or Bein (both on True) will get the wake up and get the rights! Just so you all know, The Sportsman Pub in Sukhumvit Soi 13 will be showing all the big games with repeats on request. :-)

Sorry about your experience at the Sportsman. It seems like everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. I do regularly see you at the Pub and apologize for what happened. I am told an old customer who the staff haven't seen for a couple of years visited and things got out of hand. The problem with the Kilkenny is to do with the new kegerator which whilst it stops the beer going off is struggling to control the head. We are working with Kilkenny to get this corrected. We now have plenty of London Pride in stock so please pop by for a free bottle on me when you next come in.

The Sportsman in Sukhumvit soi 13 is showing every game from 8am including both on sat and sundays :-)

Good news "Sportmans Bar" !!! curious to know what other channel can you get NRL on except SETANTA ?? thanks

Premier sports and also setanta's 2nd channel which is only available online show every game live. The problem last year was that every time a game clashed with Super Rugby they nearly always showed the super rugby game live and the NRL game was repeated later.

The Sportsman bar in Sukhumvit soi 13 Bangkok is showing this and every other NRL game on the big screen with sound guarenteed, even the ones that are not on Setanta. :-)

Thanks for your positive comments. The Sportsman will be opening above the existing pub in next couple of weeks, most probably Saturday 8th November. The new area is almost twice the size of the existing area. The upstairs lounge area will cater more towards rugby, American football and Ice hockey. The bar area will have 8 Brunswick pro competition pool tables, 3 dartboards, Foosball, Balut and Shuffleboard. Slightly different draft beers too including Guinness, Brain's bitter and Stowford press cider. Same great choice of craft beers and food :-)

The Sportsman now has Lucifer, Triple Karmelier & Kwak in bottles and Limburgse Witte & Bokkereyer amber on draft. All bottles 200 baht during world cup and draft 230 a pint.

The best coffee i have had is Doi Chaang. They do different grades and also do the stuff they collect from them little furry creatures...Civets i believe!

There is a Doi Chaang coffee shop/sales outlet on Sukhumvit soi 21 just across the road from GMM Grammy, they sell it in 250g packets starting at around 180 baht and will grind it on site for you. If you buy 5 kilos they give you a discount of 10 or 20%. Also the Sportsman pub on Sukhumvit Soi 13 have it on their menu if you want to try before you buy. https://doichaangcoffee.com/thailand
