Again thanks so much everyone who responded.
Apparently the options are:
- 3 entry tourist visa possible in Bali (Denpasar)
- 2 entry tourist visa easy in Vientiane, Laos
- 1 entry tourist visa possible in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Now I just have to see what's easiest/cheapest etc. for me and baby!
Considering I'm near the Cambodian border I think I'll use and agent and go the PP channel...and hopefully in 3 months from now they will have implemented that 6 months tourist visa! One can dream!
I'll post a new thread once I've done it to let you know.
Thanks again and have a good night.

Hi everyone and thanks so much for taking time to get back to me. I forgot to say I'm already in Thailand and looking for an option/consulate nearby such as Cambodia, Laos or similar. Not going back to France.
Thanks to anyone who has had recent experiences in Vientiane or Phnom Penh.
Regards,
Sarah

I am a French national looking to obtain a Thai double or triple entry tourist visa for myself and my 10 months old baby. I have read on this website a while back that Thailand plans on relaxing the obtention of 'long term' tourist visas, but is that true/already in effect?
What is the current (2nd half of 2015) situation and where do you recommend I go for best chances of obtaining?
(I should mention that I already have one 2 entry tourist visa from 2013 and one 1 year non-B from 2014 in my passport, now in Thailand on 30 days exemption expiring Oct 10)
Thanks a lot for your information.
Kind regards,
Sarah

Hello,
I am a French national with a non-immigrant B visa expiring 19 July. I want to cross the land border to obtain 30 days visa exemption but I have been told I might only get 2 weeks now. Does somebody know (with certainty) if French nationals still get 1 month stay at land border?
Thanks for your input.

Hi all and thank you for your replies. I have emailed Bellamy and they don't ship to Thailand, so that's not an option. And websites such as Iherb or Ebay do, but at such a cost that I've decided to stick to breastfeeding and solid food - makes me feel more in control of what baby eats.
Thanks again for your help.

Hello,
I am slowly weaning my baby off breast milk and I am looking for imported organic infant formula. Does anyone know how to buy some in Thailand? I'm not in Bangkok but maybe I could find a supplier that mails some to me or else stock up when I'm there. Thanks for your tips.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say the original post was extremely helpful to me, thanks l3fty for writing it!
I am French and I had the exact same experience and was successful in obtaining my double entry tourist visa on Nov 1st, 2013.
I gave the same documents you described (copy of passport main page, Lao visa page, Thai visa application form, 2 photos + my French bank statement) but other people in the line with me didn't provide their bank statement (they didn't know) and their application was accepted and they got their double entry tourist visa as well the next day.
One piece of advice: get to the Embassy early! I left my hotel at 7:30 am, was there around 7:50 am and I was # 3 in the line, so things went very fast and smooth but the line built up very quickly after that and I would say there were about a hundred + people following me.
Good luck and thank you thaivisa for this great forum!

Hi, I'm considering getting a 5 year membership Elite visa after reading everyone's various comments. However my BIG question (and I can get any clear answer from Thai Elite reps!): what about my 1 year old (non thai) baby who lives with me in Thailand? Does the Elite membership include/cover her? Am I expected to get her a separate membership (which is not an option costwise, obviously!)
Thanks for enlightening me!
