  1. Park terrace KTV located very near to hway khwang night market

    https://www.google.com.sg/maps/place/The+Park+Terrace/@13.77854,100.573418,20z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0x2a1448e7a2bef2d4?hl=en

Thanks for sharing the location, looks like a nice place to chill out with a few cold beers.

NP. It not only is a good place to chill out they have a billards table and a few karaoke rooms upstairs and i think there's also a pub upstairs too. Well KTV means a karaoke/ night club type of place. The phra pikanet statue is on the same street along with the fortune tellers/ statue shop and the night market across the junction.

  2. A bit off topic - there is a high class hotel corner of Ploenchit & Ruam Rudee. that 2 servers in bar outside told my gf they earn 30,000/mo salary + 100/day for taxi home (not verified of course). One of the servers regularly posts copies of her monthly check for service charge disbursement on FB - it's always 12,000 - 15,000. Pretty substantial monthly income for server. It's all about who your employer is wherever you work.

The only high class hotel off the corner off ploenchit and ruam rudee would be novotel bkk ploenchit. The other high end hotel which isn't in a corner in case you didn't describe it properly would be conrad inside soi ruam rudee located inside all season's place.

  3. Pennny pinching retirees, English teachers dont want to believe the fact that educated thais make decent money, they feel better thinking 15-20k salary is the norm just because they get paid peanuts. White collar workers make good money here, last girl I met works at KPMG, she pulls in 70-80k at least because her rent is 30k. I didnt ask her salary. But she probably even makes more than my guess. Went to her flat, very decent 1br fully serviced high end condo.

Amazing opportunities here for a decent English speaking educated local.

Just had a look at Adeccos report, its on par with my observation.

It's that sickening disgusting superiority complex that many farang have. Maybe that's why they hate chinese people so much.

    My other sim

    20605720857f2b9a37671c702a33b56ce6374490

This is exactly what I receive on *141#, my SIM was registered a few months ago

    You believe so alt=tongue.png>

But this is obviously the message that it is not registered and that you please show up in person at AIS service.

As Thai is allowed here, the text that I got (same as in pic):

    ไม่พบข้อมูลแสดงตนของคุณ
    กรุณาแสดงตน
    ที่จุดบริการAIS

Well someone who reads thai and english read my msgs for me and told me what both meant.

  5. I have a number of night shots.

Let me show my pictures at makkasan late at night when all the vendors have gone home and the entire place is dead.

Posted a few of these on the street and road shots anywhere thread

  6. I wonder if any typical US ball carrier appeared here and simply brushed off china for no good reason at all. Seriously speaking that's the kind of sickening mentality that has been ongoing for some time now.

    Yup i was too late.

banned in most countries since 20 years

but that are civilized countries that understood that the trade is responsible for all the killings of elephants, rhinos ... to be crushed for a stiffie powder for chinese... they did not have access to viagra ?

The 3 biggest traders in ivory, ww, are China, Thailand and the Philippines, in that order. The Fils want ivory mainly for Madonna statues.

from OP: Ivory Importers and exporters must also seek approval and comply with regulations.

expect a lot of under-the-table tea money, to get administrators to toe the line, and at least approve the ivory traders' current stock.

In northern Thailand and Shan State Burma (near where I reside) I see baby ivory tusks. Yup, little tusks between 10 and 20 inches long. Sad to think of poachers yanking the little tusks out. Are the baby elephants dead or alive when they do it? Probably dead. A quick 120 baht for the pair, and on to the next baby.

so only the chinese get blamed for the trade but not the rest. Also i am sure out of these 3 other countries are involved.
