  1. Only because I was downtown the other day, I stopped into the old center supermarket, the Vanna Prannee. What a dump that always was, and now there are virtually no customers. Such as, four empty cashier stations. Only the usual helpless stock clerks clogging the aisles, instead of 99 Scandanavians and one Scot.

I bought 39 bottles of Pepsi Maxx, 1.25 liter. Manager thought I was going to resell them. Nope, that's a thirteen day supply.

Parking a motorcycle is troublesome, unless you weigh 30 kilos or 2.46 stone, and ride a narrow 100cc Honda Wake.

Flew London-Cairo, Cairo-Luxor, Luxor-London. Cabins tatty, no seat back TV, overhead TV screens mostly didn't work. Cabin staff not at all friendly. Bag went missing on return flight. Check in at Cairo domestic laughable, at Luxor Intl a chaotic shambles.

Will not fly with them again.

Bangkok-Cairo, Cairo-London return, and domestically Cairo-Aswan-Luxor-Aswan, Luxor- Sharm el Sheik.

The international flights all left late. Bangkok check in was a chaotic shambles and the plane must have been severely overloaded with cargo/luggage.

The airline does not assign seats ahead of check in. Safety on board was laughable - people and children not strapped in on landings/takeoffs, people walking down aisle immediately on landing.

The crews did nothing to stop this. Food was OK. Crew are indeed mature as I have read in other posts - some friendly, some arrogant, none very professional. If you want a blanket or pillow for long haul flight in economy, get it as you enter the plane, they carry only a handful.

Domestic flights marginally better. I rate them 1 or 2 stars.

LHR - Cairo - Luxor - Aswan - Abu Simbel - Aswan - Luxor - LHR. Was a little apprehensive, but couldn't afford BA. The flights were all full and the schedules were changed more times than I can remember.

However, I was upgraded on more than one occasion - including when they suddenly shut the check-in desk at Luxor and moved the queue to another desk for no apparent reason. The meals were nice on each of the legs. In-flight entertainment was a little odd as it re-wound and started again. Nevertheless, I would fly with them again - staff were more mature than I have been used to and very friendly. And it was nice to see no alcohol being served which meant no out of control passengers. The toilets were a little lacking in knick-knacks but I was pleasantly surprised with what I found of Egyptair and would recommend them.

I flew Egyptair from LHR to Cairo then Cairo to Luxor and finally Luxor to LHR. I wasn't expecting much but the flights were actually quite good. The MS778 to Cairo used a B777 which was only 2/3 full and arrived 10 mins ahead of schedule. Service and food were as good as most flights I've experienced with KLM/BA.; IFE was fully working (old style screens though). The domestic flight on a full A320 was uneventful; a/c interior did look a bit tatty though for a modern airbus. Final trip on MS761 not so great; scheduled B777 was replaced by an A300 which had seen much better days.

Flight was completely full and aircon didn't seem to work very well. When leaving LXR, one of the cabin crew was still moving around as we began the take off roll; a bit disconcerting. Service/food and IFE acceptable though and we arrived on schedule.

Egyptair Business (Horus) Class seats may not be the most sophisticated, but they have all the other factors like the quality of meals and a high level of service all the way from booking to flights. The business class ticket also includes complimentary limousine service.

Recently flew MS766 London Heathrow - Sharm El Sheikh and MS765 return. After reading some of the previous reviews I was a little apprehensive, yet returned pleasantly surprised. On both flights, check in went smoothly and the ground staff were helpful and attentive.

The A320 aircraft on both flights were well presented and thoroughly cleaned and the cabin crew were polite and interested in the welfare of their passengers. In flight meals were variable - dinner on the outbound flight very tasty, but the breakfast was best avoided! Delay of approximately one hour on the return flight as the aircraft required fuelling at Sharm whilst passengers were boarding but other than that no problems.

Would use Egyptair again on this route as the direct flight is a significant improvement on flying with another operator and then changing at Cairo.

Recently flew from Cairo to Vienna. Good points were the food and friendly service. However, what happened to aircraft safety? There was no pre flight safety presentation and no selection of people to sit by the wing escape exits. I sat on one of these seats as the plane was empty to get more legroom but was never questioned regarding what I should do in case of an emergency.

Also the lady in front of me also in a escape exit seat must have been about 70 and could hardly get herself into the seat never mind open and work an emergency exit door!

Bit surprising and disturbing. Least said about check in the better.

    Total chaos!  :D
