  1. Thanks for your replies everyone.

I will monitor the situation carefully and make a decision this coming weekend. I will be looking out for an increase in reported infections and deaths in Thailand and the conduct of governments and airlines to determine our ability to return to Australia un-hindered.

I understand the value in Thailand demonstrating peak infections and avoiding a high risk declaration.

  2. Thanks for your replies, I do believe the situation in Thailand will disclose itself at some point. Songkarn will see a lot of movement from the cities to the provinces and spread Covid 19 to the elderly.

Any disparity from the mortality rate against the rate of infection will make the situation self evident.

And no, I do not wear a tinfoil hat.

    Thanks.

  3. I have return flights booked with Malaysian Airlines from Australia to Thailand departing 2nd April, returning 1st May with a short stopover in KL (staying within the airport), both directions.

I do not fear contracting Covid19, my families health is robust.

My concerns, and this post stem from The Singapore governments recent decision to ban airport transfers through Changi International Airport of travellers from declared high risk countries.

At worst, I contemplate the Malaysian government taking similar measures if Thailand in seven weeks time is declared a high risk country. This scenario is possible.

At worst, my family and I could become stranded in Thailand in dire circumstances.

So, would you take your family of four to Thailand in the coming weeks, given the above scenario?

    Thank-you, your opinion is appreciated.

  4. It is one argument to blame the alleged perp, yeah, lock him up but what about the Thai authorities who usually are ineffective at anything including general deterrance, or the parents who sold thier daughter. The perp is not the only guilty party here, everyone, one way or another needs to learn that a 11 year old child is just that. She not something to sell and is not something that can be bought. We are all born to be free.

  5. I am starting to think more about my family's safety every time we plan to visit LOS, with every time I get closer to saying this is the last time. I have two girls who I cherish more than a cheap holiday.

I see things in black and white and feel the level of risk for my children to become victims of sexual assault is too high. The corruption and greed that see's innocent people have their lies destroyed for someones personal gain represents an almost unacceptable level of risk. Israel, Lebanon and Turkey is looking good for future holiday's and my lovely Thai wife agrees. Once her parents have passed then that will be Thailand done for us.

    I squarely blame drugs.

  6. Smart operator.

Hubby gives money to FIL. As a gift as their is no agreement to repay the money. Limited claim.

Ex wifey doesn't possess this money, her father does. The 3 million is neither possessed by either party.

In the situation of a 50/50 settlement she has just grabbed an extra 1.5 mio baht.

Husband would need to satisfy a decision maker he had been defrauded.

    Compensation? Give up, don't bother.

When my wife wants to start parking money, were done. It's non neg.
