bangkok bank on pattaya beach road was allowing it as of a year ago, as long as you paid for some nonsensically expensive insurance. i recall it was about 14k THB for the insurance (I didnt buy it, as I already had a bangkok bank account from bangkok). i didnt have any supporting documents

MY $05 worth, August 1st everyone that has been on amnesty, will be told they can come in to immigration and apply for (at cost) a 1 month extension..

seems logical. why miss a chance to earn some money. hopefully they do a stage 2 opening, where they agree to sell more extensions than we are entitled to. pushing out those who dont want to pay would be a good solution.

Have a friend who is Rawai, and needs to get to an immigration office to extend his visa. Any suggestions? Could a visa agent in Rawai do it for him, as he seems to not be able to get to Patong or Phuket town. Thoughts?

Saw a few older posts about IVF in Thailand. We live half time in China and half time in Thailand. Wondering if there are low cost government hospitals doing it in Thailand, as we can do this for $3500 per cycle in China. Bumrungrad is asking 500,000thb...haha

I live on a 13th floor in pattaya of an older building. The building seems to have lots of trouble with the copper and coax wiring. I would like to switch to fiber from TOT. I know that TOT and 3BB dont want to do fiber to any floor above the 3rd floor. Why is this? Is this becasue the fiber cable cannot handle the load of hanging up 60m? My building has cabling shafts that I have easy access to. I was thinking that I could just tie off of the fiber cable at each floor, this way the hanging load on the fiber cable is limited to 4-5 meters per tie off. Anyone have expereince with this? I know I must clear this with the building first, and yes they will want money. That is not my question, I am in fact looking for feedback from someone who understands the technical limitations of the fiber cable. I am guessing the light doesnt have any problem to travel up 13 floors :-) Thanks!
