I changed my residence from Phrae to Bangkok where I would be living with my gf. We submitted TM28 and TM30 by post to CW and included an SAE for the receipt. No proof of new address was included. We received the receipts four days later.

Going to the bank same day makes sense but the you have to wait for bank to open and miss out on benefit of getting to immigration bright and early.

To elect a President who had over 700 charges of corruption suddenly dropped even though his accomplice was found guilty says it all.

I hope someone is filling in all his TM28s and TM29s

Except for extensions, I do all my reporting by mail enclosing an SAE. So far no problems and very prompt replies. Did the TM 28 by mail and got the receipt five days later.

I am thick but I cannot see how people have jumped to the conclusion that the person was a tourist. Please explain in words of one syllable. Thank you

As a British passport holder I entered Thailand on the 30 day visa exempt, then went to Immigration in Bangkok and got a non-o visa. Just before this expired, applied for extension to stay based on retirement, This last part was done at Nan. Absolutely no problems. Best wishes.

My sympathies. I have always done mine by post, first at Nan and now at Bangkok without any problems. The cost, two EMS stamps, one for the return envelope.
All the best

Yes They have visa exempt status upto 30days. If you want to extend that I would highly recommend doing the paperwork before departure rather than applying after you have entered South Africa.

I am living with my gf in a condo which she is buying on mortgage. What do I or she need to do to get a residency certificate?
Thanks

I used to do my 90 day by post to Nan immigration supplying all the required copies, passport, TM 6 and TM 47. Nan used to return a new form TM 47 with the next reporting date stamped on it. I have now returned to Bangkok and did my 90 day report in March, with the sane enclosures, to the Bangkok Office. I got a receipt stating the next reporting date. In June, I sent off the usual bundle of papers but with my new receipt, the passport and Tm 6 pages were returned, no explanation. Maybe they have run out of storage space or could this be that they no longer want this information after the first submission. What also surprises me is that my passport copies contained an extra page which shows my extension to May 2017 on a new page so the old copies do not reflect this extension.

I have just renewed my extension at One Stop on 11 April. The only new form that I signed was one stating that I understood the new overstay conditions.

Am I alone? When entering the 90 day reporting site I am greeted with a warning that the site is not secure. Is this really a problem as I cannot see that any of the required information could be used for scamming?

When I came to Thailand I had been on hypertension medication for about five years. On going to the doctor for an unrelated condition, he queried why I was on medication. He told me to drop the medication and check my bp every day. I showed him the results after a month and he was quite pleased with the results. After talking about my lifestyle, he came to the conclusion it was more than likely due to my gf using garlic in every meal.
