great thanks. does this (wp3 application) need to be done before i apply for the non b visa?

Hi all,
I have the following issue:
In the beginning of this year I did an internship in Bangkok: came with a Non-Immigrant-B visa, stayed 3 months, left Thailand. Never got a work permit though.
Now I got offered a new job, which makes me apply again for a Non-Immigrant-B visa and once I'm in Thailand the work permit.
On the Embassy's site the following documents are required for the application: Copy of Work Permit issued by the Ministry of Labour (only in case the application has previously worked in the Kingdom)
As I never got a work permit - what would you suggest? Pretending that I finally didn't work, but was a tourist? Or explaining that I never got a work permit - but this is actually illegal...
Thank you very much for your help!

Hello Visa experts,
Does anybody have any experience with the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur issuing METV? I don't have permanent residency in Malaysia, but am French, so this should be alright I guess.
Thank you!

Hi again,
I'd like to apply for a METV from somewhere else than my homecountry (either KL or Yangoon). Do you see any problem in that?
On both websites of the embassies I can't find any information about the METV, but only the "normal" tourist visa - does this mean that they won't be issued there?
The multiple entry is not limited, right?
So I could also in 6 months come in and go out for let's stay 7 times?
As I will be staying at a friends' place, how can I go round the hotel confirmation?
Will I need hotel / airplaine booking confirmations before every re-entry?
Anything else I should need to know about?
Thank you
Claire

hi community,
i'm planning of going to yangoon for a visa run as i will need a new non immigrant b visa.
does anyboday have any recent experience with the embassy? couldn't find any recent reports on that matter.
also, i was wondering about the required documents, as written on their homepage:
FOR SINGLE ENTRY (WORK PERMIT)
1. Copy of passport and 2 recent photographs2. Approval letter from Ministry of Labour (if any) --for this document, please ask your employer to senda request note to M. of Labour of Thailand to acquire it.3. Employment letter from Company4. Employment contract5. Company registration/tax payment/share holders lists6. Company's map7. Your resume (education background/work experience)8. Visa fee is 80 USDFOR MULTIPLE ENTRIES1. Copy of passport and 2 recent photographs2. Request letter (to specify why the applicant need multiple entries)3. Business profile4. Company registration5. CV of the applicant6. Financial evidences i.e. bank account, properties ownership7. Visa fee is 200 USD>> why wouldn't I need a work permit for multiple entries? or can I only apply to multiple entries as soon as I already have a work permit? but then i would alreaday have a non immigrant b visa... sounds confusing to me...
thanks for your help!

ist there any possibility of applying to the 6 months METV elsewhere than your homecountry? if yes, where is in your opinion the most convenient place (regarding time efficiancy from bangkok)?
thank you!claire

...and i have the confirmation of the international organization which i work for.
still it is not very clear to me for which visa i should apply when my current visa is no longer valid.
-
ok, that's actually a good idea. do i get you right: i will keep the visa until end of march, then go out of thailand and apply at a close consulate for a new visa (ed or non immigrant b again)?
thank you so much for your help!!
-
the problem is that the non immigrant b is valid until end of march, and i will do the internship until end of may...
for extension i'll need a confirmation of the company (for which i don't work anymore) as well as a work permit.
-
the non immigrant b visa i have is multiple entry.

hi,
thanks for your quick reply!
i wouldn't mind getting a new visa - could i still do it then at the immigration office? or do i really need to get out of thailand to apply at the closest consulate? can't they just replace one for another?
it is still possible to apply for a re-entry for the ed visa, right?
thanks again guys, you're a great help!

hi all!
i am wondering if it is possible to change a non immigrant B visa into an ED visa, without leaving thailand? i would then go to the immigration office in chaengwatthana. what do you think?
(background: i did an internship and just started a new one. on the non immigrant b visa it says the name of the old company. as i won't need a work permit, an ed visa would be much less complicated, i think...)
thank you in advance for all advice!

hi!
i will soon go to chaengwattana to extend my tourist visa. will the extension be valid from the last day of the original visa (so makes it sense to go there right away even if the visa is still valid for another month)?
or will it be extended for another 30 days the day i go there and get the stamp?
Thank you!
