I laughed out loud when I saw this!( Not sure how an overstaying Brit is dangerous). But suggest a conversation is had with the police about keeping Thailand's roads safe. Umm anyone heard of the highway code? :)

I am so confused. Phuket has changed its quarantine from 14 days to 7 days - back to 14 days. Samui is not sure yet. And Pattaya is promising just 3 days.

If Pattaya is 3 days, why can't Samui and Phuket be the same????????

So how do these people from overseas get here if there’s no international flights???? Mad.

So for those who say there is no such thing as a land lease for 30/30/30 this would make it a 50/40 lease and will it stand the test of time or will one loose the whole enchilada as some have indicated in another thread.

Just what I thought - do they take it away after 3-5 years? This could deg be a game changer if it’s true, authentic and fair to us property (but not land) owners in TH.

We do not want to jeopardise Samui thank you. We are worried. But the island is very busy. So all events have been cancelled and many of us staying home to avoid the crowds. 

The country is on its knees due to Covid and yet nothing ever happens to enforce laws on driving. I see kids of 9 or 10 driving recklessly in Samui, without helmets - it’s madness. Why are there no laws on mandatory driving tests and age limits????? This carnage will continue until laws are made and enforced to prevent accidents. 

Please bring the vaccine as soon as possible to Thailand. This will be much better financially for Thailand. If We go into full lockdown there will be many more casualties in the form of people who cannot survive with no income.

This is utter nonsense.

I saw at least three monkeys on coconut trucks the other day in Koh Samui The monkeys are expected to get around 500 coconuts by some owners and they get totally exhausted, often dying whilst they are up the tree or on the truck.... the amount is just too much for them.

Maybe the government needs to step in and  explore more humane ways of harvesting coconuts.

I seriously cannot believe this! It’s TERRIBLE. I hope they didn’t pay anyone for thinking this up. 
 

What about the starving people, the elephants with no food and noWhere to go,  and all the abandoned animals that are starving????? Seriously this needs urgent attention.

Of course there is much more, but you have to start somewhere. Oh and let the tourist/expats also pay the 35 bht daily for healthcare in state hospitals, if they want more they pay more your loss will be gone soon and everybody has an insurance.

 

I agree that the streets need to be cleaned up and specifically the fly tipping of garbage. It is very bad in Koh Samui. And there is an ugly tip right before you reach Departures on the left side of the road. This is what departing visitors see just as they leave. The roads to the airport are shocking too so infrastructure should be a priority. Finally, for Samui, when is Bangkok Airways going to offer affordable air fares? The travel agents in Europe are avoiding Samui as it's so expensive to get here! At the very least they should plan ahead and do early bird saver promotions and last minute promotionalo fares to fill up seats!
