Will I need to get the marriage certificate legalised by the Swiss Embassy ? Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs? Thanks.

It is obvious that the Thai government is trying to screen out those who claim to be tourists from
the tourists that the TAT would like to have visit the country. The tourists the government would
like to have are the tourists who fly into Bangkok and then head to the beach or up North to Chiang Mai
for a few days. At the end of their visits these tourist are expected to return to their home
countries and wait a year to visit Thailand again.
How many "real" tourists stay 2, 4, or 6 months? Or how many "real" tourists can afford
multi month holidays in Thailand?
The government would like to eliminate the "non real" tourists and not have them
travel to Thailand for "non" tourist reasons and take advantage of loopholes in the
visa system. There are a number of Thai legal
visa options open to those who have valid reasons to visit.
There is a new wind blowing in Thailand and we will have to get use to it.

There are a number of places where you can drink but do not think good idea to post where. Ask some of the
old timers and they will steer you in the right direction

Thanks for taking time to reply really appreciated. Upon applying for extension in Thailand would the
financial requirement be THB 400,000 or THB 800,000. Thanks again.

My wife is European with Thai PR status.
Can I get "O" Visa based on marriage to PR? Is the amount I need in the bankTHB 400,000. Where is the best (easiest) place in the region to get the visa?
Does my wife need to come to the consulate/embassy with me or can I just bring copy documents? Thanks for any help.

I have just entered Thailand on a 90 day APEC Visa.
Can I now change my status here in Bangkok to Non Imm B?
Or could I change to "0" since my wife is a Thai Permanent Resident?
Or would it be best to leave and obtain Non Imm B in neighbouring country?
The idea of above is to obtain Thai Work Permit. Any ideas. Thanks.

Sorry, type O,
I meant change B to O, sorry.
Thanks for the replies.

Ref, Extension of Stay for "O" Visa based on Marriage.
Thanks for all replies. Just want to make sure I understand.
For the Extension of Stay I have a marriage certificate in English
legalized by my Embassy here. Do I need to get the marriage certificate
translated into Thai and then legalized by the MFA?
Where is best to get translation in Bangkok? And how much
trouble is it to get the legalization done at the MFA?
Thanks in adance
