True for Jewish religion as crustaceans are not kashér for the kashrut (doesn't fit dietary religious laws).

False for Christians (and Catholics in general), as believers follows almost only New Testament, and crustaceans are widely eaten in many Christian countries like Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Philippines and many countries of south and central America.
I think also pope Francesco will not despite some good shrimps from time to time...

So anything in the old testament can be ignored?

Christians, in modern era, has not any dietary religious laws.
Traditionally is only used to avoid to eat meat on Friday. But you can eat crustaceans... and somtam XD

The most ancient version of old testament we have (dead sea papers) are written (in ancient Jewish language) without vowels, so nobody can be even sure about the pronounce (and the meaning) of the words...

  3. At both Malaysian borders of Sadao and Padang-Besar (Songkhla) there are big blue signs since 1st January 2017 informing about the THB 20.000 cash to show if you are alone, THB 40.000 for a family, for non-immigrant and non-working visas.
For what i know you will have to show THB 20.000 more if you're entering with your own car or motorbike.

I entered last April with ED visa, they gave me possibility to go to a Thai ATM and withdraw required cash. But i was traveling with public transports. I suppose that traveling with a minivan could help avoid carrying all that cash at cheap "tip-tip" price...
