You're right. It seems those are calcium flakes. Looks like the ph is out of balance. I recommend you contact a swimming pool supplier too. Pool Master is quite a good pool supplies company in Thailand. You may send this photo to them so they could give you recommendations. I do think that there's a problem with the chemistry levels but best to confirm with them. Best of luck.

I'd go for a chlorinated pool. Effective in clearing up bacteria indeed. The best part is it's very easy to maintain.
