In order to register my residance, where do I find stamps (10 baht ) for the Power of Attorney paper.
Do they sell those in the small copy store in immigration office?
I am in Phuket but I guess its the same everywhere.

The blue book will have the engine No: and Chassis No: in it just compare same.
You could change the book into your name in BKK that would save any problems in Phuket. Tip part with the cash once the thing is in your name.
For spare parts Buddha only knows as it's more than likely a grey import.
If you are going to drive to Phuket I would have the thing serviced prior to going as it more than likely hasn't been done for ages.
fredob43,
thank you for the info.
that is so funny that you call it "the thing" and not "the jeep".
makes me wonder am I getting a real jeep or "a thing"...?
I wish I had the budget for a new Jeep from the showroom....

I am about to buy a Jeep Wrangler 2001 TJ (sahara). The Jeep's driver stickers are in Japanese. white plate with black numbers. please help before I pay for the jeep:
1. how do I identify this is a genuine jeep, the engine and chassi original?
2. should I excpect any issues in transfering the blue book under my name? I will be taking the jeep from bangkok to phuket.
2. where can I find a set of genuine wheels (rims) with the Jeep logo in the center.
many thanks,.
