You ever try living in the pleonchit/siam area?
That's where I choose to live in Bangkok and it is perfect, although I'm not sure if the traffic is "heavy" most of the days, not too much traffic but on weekends there's usually more.
I did actually at Noble Ploenchit - it was great because it was connected to the BTS but I want to be away from that entire area as if it's a new Bangkok almost. I work from home so have no need to be in one particular area and don't really go out partying heavy anymore.

I've been living in Lower Suk (soi 4 - 39) for 6 years and a year in Sathorn/Silom area. Recently moved to Hua Hin and started traveling all around Thailand heavily during the pandemic.
I want to setup a new home base in Bangkok as Hua Hin has no airport and it's a long commute back/forth to BKK from here. Looking for a new area that has things to do with newer condos and not stuck in heavy traffic (I heard Ladprao has a ton of traffic). I'm not opposed to going very far outside of Bangkok either as I speak Thai well enough to get about.
Looking for any suggestions, thanks!

So continuing my journey of learning thai, I have to say I'm happy with the road I've gone down. Banana Thai later episodes are great once I've realised some examples have not been covered yet and has been helping me learn to read quickly.
I've done the 2nd live class with learn with mod with Kru Pear and the group classes are brilliant. They are so fun and comfortable and I'm excited to do my next class. I'm glad I did the live class as it's made it much more enjoyable than solo studying.

I've started the first section of Banana Thai and I'm not very keen on the delivery for certain parts. As I'm learning the letters, she uses examples with letters that are not taught yet and completely confuses me. I will continue the course until my month is expired then will switch to something else and just use the videos to learn the alphabet (albeit with a ton of jumping around videos).

So I signed up to Banana Thai reading basics class on a subscription. Haven't started or gone through it yet.
Did a placement test with learn with mod and couldn't answer any haha. Will join their beginners class at the same time.

Thanks, I'll consider this also! The group lessons seem interesting as well.

I'm looking to learn to read and write Thai, but can't decide between these two courses. I read stuart jay reviews and wasn't keen.
I've been how to read/write Thai in 10 days book, but struggling with book format and want something online.
Would appreciate anyone who has used either program or another to leave a review/advice. Thanks!

I doubt it will be open until 2022 unfortunately. Quiet annoying.

Hello Everyone,
I am looking for a family lawyer in Bangkok. I need some fairly simple services.
I have already discussed with some of the big name firms but their prices are high and their payment terms terrible. So wondered if people have experience with other/smaller firms that are still decent but a bit more affordable.
Thanks!
Hi were you able to find a reasonably priced one? If so, could you share the information please.

I have tried the sawadee clinic near DMK airport. First time was AA THC for 1000 baht, needed 15+ drops to feel anything. Now they've sold me 5ml of THX MAX for 2000 per bottle. Still need around 15 drops to feel anything.
Is there any THC only ones that are very strong?

We have clients who want to apply for citizenship by decent. Whilst there are numerous parental DNA test available priced from 10,000 to 16,000 You need to consider what pupose you want the test for. 1. Medical Health, personal peace of mind, legal evidence or migration. Whilst a professional DNA test might be taken into consideration, An Embassy might request that a DNA test from a certified laboratory and they may even require that a representative of the embassy be present when the test is undertaken. This add to the costs of course and is generally only required if there is some residual doubt. My suggestion would be to consider a paternity test in conjunction with a heath check. But be aware that you might need a second more expensive test to follow up post natal. Best to seek legal advice if there is a contest
Yes, I agree. We went to Ramathibodi hospital and that was their pricing. The court accepted that with no issues.

I really sympathize with your situation . How old is your son ? how much time have you spent with him so far in his life ? Do you have a strong bond with him . If you know where his mother takes him in town or where he goes to school , he might run to you if he sees you , Surely she would have to let you stay with him for a while in those circumstances . As Offset said , do you take care of him financially . If yes , how much does she need the money . Maybe stopping it would make her rethink .
He's only 17 months old at this point. I spent a lot of time with him while he was very young until the mother took him away. I've managed to visit a few times, and he definitely remembers me but I can't get back because her family are threatening me and told the taxi company to stop picking me up.

Thank you, appreciate it!

The only way for you to see your son would be to get 100% parental control of your son which would mean a court case and unless you have good proof that she not look after your son I think the court will favor the mother, you would also have to show that you can look after your son alone
Are you supporting your son with money if you are I would stop giving her any until she gives you visiting rights
She definitely isn't looking after him well, but I don't have proof other than what I've been told by her friends.
I am paying monthly for him right now at the advice of my first lawyers. They said it would help prove I am responsible in court and I'm obligated to do it after all the paperwork for legalising me as his father was filed.

I have used a person recommended in another thread. We got the DNA stuff with a willing mother at the time, and then used her and a lawyer to proceed in court for legalising. DNA was 20k~ if I recall correctly, and court costs of 80k.
-
Also, if anyone can suggest a lawyer in Udon Thani or Sakhon Nakhon who could write a letter for me, I would appreciate that. My current lawyer asked for 10k baht to write a letter requesting a civil agreement for visitation.

I have a son with a Thai girl who is now living with her parents in Sawang Daen Din and will not let me see my son. I have already been to court and had him legalised as my son and had that registered at the amphur.
I can't seem to talk sense into her and she won't let me come visit him anymore and her parents are threatening me if I come back to visit him.
I've talked to a lawyer who says the process would be going to court in her province and the court cost will be 120k baht for 3 months. However, I want to avoid this at all costs if possible.
Is there any other solutions to get visitation or custody of my son out of court or is that the only process? Does that pricing sound right?
Would appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you!

Tailor on Ten has patterns available similar to that - however not sure if they can put them into a suit.

The river condo has the river fitness right infront and is walking.
Also found The Diamond Tower near Prom Pong BTS which has a managed gym within it.
And then there's the Infinity which has Fitness first next to it in Sathorn Square.

Does anyone know of any condos connected to or extremely close to the BTS/MRT?
I've found Noble Ploenchit which is connected to the BTS but the room sizes are extremely small. The 2brs are 70-85sq/m for around 65-100k/month.
The Q Sukhumvit just completed so there aren't many units available for rent. This building is also connected directly to Nana BTS.

Forgot to do my 90 day report and was 2 weeks over the 7 day grace. Had no issues leaving or returning to Thailand. Immigration officers said nothing to me about it.

Does anyone have experience with a family lawyer in Bangkok that speaks good English?
I'm looking to register myself as my son's legitimate father and the first lawyer I've spoken to has quoted 90k and 3 months if she doesn't contest the decision (I'm not sure if she will or not at this point).
Once that is done, I would like to apply for custody through the courts.

I wasn't going to mention it, but NASA is where I buy from too.
Do they sell used phones as well or only new?

I was hoping to get a good one within the building that way if it's raining or too hot I don't have to walk far to the gym.
I've been searching for quiet a while and haven't found anything remotely like what I need yet.

Does anyone know of a condo building with a good gym within the building? Most gyms seem to only have ultra basic essentials and dumbells maxing out at 10-25kg usually.
I was looking for a condo in a good location (near BTS/malls) with a good gym within the building to stop any commutes.
Currently in Ascott which has Cascade gym inside which is fantastic but need a condo with a balcony that is bigger (currently 109sq/m with no balcony).
Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this?

Spoke to True on their live chat, explained the issue. He told me to turn the router off for a few mins, then on again and my WAN is now my public IP and everything is working as expected.

Areas outside of Lower Sukhumvit / Sathorn
in Bangkok
Posted
Sathorn was a nightmare for traffic and being there recently, traffic situation hasn't change but would definitely recommend to stay near the BTS. It's nice but the malls near by besides icon etc don't have as much to offer compared to Sukhumvit in my opinion.
Really enjoyed Ploenchit, especially inside noble as it was extremely easy to get around with a lot of more choice of things if I did need to quickly run an errand etc. I preferred Ploenchit over Sathorn personally. Just way more things overall in every aspect up there.
