There must be a reason why she doesn't want to go: problem with student or teacher?

Like said before, find out, deal with the problem. This has been an issue far too long.

My daughter totally refuse to talk with me about this problem: I've been at the Sarasas school, and they denied any kind of help to solve the situation.

Yes Thai law says school until 16.

I would agree think that there is a problem.  Has anyone suggest a different school. What kind of student was she before.

She was very good at school, and I believe she is suffering for the destruction of our family (she's a very sensible child)  my ex-wife is ignorant and unable to understand the gravity of the situation, and to try to solve the problem: my daughter totally refuse to talk with me about this problem, and I really don't know how proceed, in a country that seems don't have solution for cases like this (social services, schools, laws, authorities): we are divorced and I work very far from my ex house, and my ex-wife in front of the judge at the family court signed about taking care about my 2 daughters.

  3. I am divorced, ex thai wife, 2 daughters, 12 and 11 yo, in joint custody, who live with her in my ex house: the house is now in the name of my 2 kids, and my ex take care of them, and use the house: my 12 yo daughter refuse to go in school (Sarasas) for already 3 months, and my ex is unable to solve the situation: I did talk with my daughter several times and I tried to convince her, without any result. In this sad situation, any advise or suggestion is highly appreciated. Thanks

  4. Hi All, I have a sad story here, and I would have some comment or advise.

My 2 daughters (10 and 12 yo) in this period are living with the thai mother, since that we are in the process for the divorce: they both attend at the Sarasas Witaed Bang Bua Tong.  I was working in Chiang Mai until 2 weeks ago, and I been informed just last week by my younger daughter that the older one is not going to school for weeks.

Yesterday I have been at the school to ask information and ask about the school procedure in cases like that: I asked also a sort of certification or a written paper on a letterhead showing the dates that my daughter was absent (to be showed to the family judge): with my big surprise they refused to give me any sort of official documentation about the fact that my daughter was missing for weeks. I am seriously considering to move my daughters in other schools, but I don't know if the story that I just tell it's a rule in Thailand, or I can force the Sarasas to produce the document in some way.....

    Thanks for the support.

  5. Dear Friends,

Can somebody explain to me why in Thailand an amatorial farang musician (as me and other hundreds) cannot play a not remunerated jam in a public places without risk the imprisonment and the registration on the black list?

I have my job here, I pay my taxes every month, and I like to play for have some fun with friends: does it sounds illegal?

  6. Updates & Thanks

Thanks to all for the brainstorming.

    Here the full story:

Seen that I have been fired on 25 April, and my permission to stay was connected to the WP, on 27 April I have been at the Immigration with the HR manager of the company: there, a zealous officer told us that he cant cancel the stay if we don't show an official document from some strange office (IEAT) for the final confirmation of my WP cancellation. For some strange reason I received that document on yesterday: then, at the immigration they told me that I was already in overstay and actually at risk to go in prison bla bla. So, today I had to fly in Malaysia and Im coming back right now with my fresh 30 days of stay permission (because they told me that after 7 day I can't anymore just pass a border but I have to go away and come back by flights!).

Now, I don't want comment those facts further, seen that after 12 years in Thailand I should know where I am living....

  7. Hi All, I need an urgent answer to my problem:  in November 2017 I got a 2 years Visa connected to my work permit: the company cancelled my WP on 25 April 2018, and at the Immigration in Lamphun they said to me that they will cancel my Visa also and I have to leave Thailand (at the same date - 25 April): actually I just got the information 15 min ago (about the cancellation date of my WP...) from the competent office. I got also another information about the fact that with my actual Visa I could sty in Thailand until 2019, and just leave and re-entry the Thailand every 90 days to validate the Visa....  I really don't know what to do, and I will be grateful to anybody can help me with some information. I attached the page of my passport with the actual Visa     Thanks!       Passport - Visa 2018.pdf
