In 2015 caught an Airport Bus from the Airport to Pattaya city from my memory

it didnt go to the Bus Station in Pattaya We had to get a Songthaew to Beach rd few Kms away .Would anyone know which bus company this might have been?

I see there is two companies Bell and also Roong Reuang my feeling is it was possibly the latter ,just cant remember and i think it is a Private company.

I would appreciate some help if anyone has any ideas.

Politely asking them to turn down their 200db crackly radio so I can hear other passengers speak.

Asking him to go the correct way to the destination (not try and get on the highway for a 1 kilometre trip).

Politely asking for AC to be used when it's 38 outside.

Asking them to pause the meter as they wait in a long queue to fill up LPG with me in the car as a passenger.

Asking them to slow down a bit (the guy was doing 120 down Sathorn with my young nieces in the car - no seat belts available).

Asking for a meter to be used after being quoted 800 Baht from Sathorn to the airport.

happened to me from Downtown Bangkok to Lak  Krabang in rush hour on motorway ,made the excuse to get him to pull over, looking at a text on my phone ,made out Message from my wife had rearranged a meeting at closer destination ,So not to annoy him and pull over an get the Yuck out of there!

So no loss of face induced ,Happy days

better to take the Airport Link now in my experience ,for long journeys.

But must of been scarey for the Thai family involved .

I would trust the advice of 7x7 he gives excellent advice

and is very knowledgable he has always provided me

with very good advice on issues of the ILR in the past.

As others too on the forum have ,you can follow theoldgits advice which is good 

or search for an appeals advocate in the UK to help you

with your advice but you should start to do this as soon as possible.

I am interested to know what members opinions are  on the

Pros and Cons for my Thai Wife applying for UK Citizenship including the Brexit ?

She has ILR  and 10 year Biometric Card been in the UK since 2012 and entered the UK Prior to the New 5 year rule 09 July 2012.

Hi Richard W..... So we have Changed her Thai Passport in Thailand to new one with the new name and certificate of change translated for UKBI at UK Airport,

and will use the form NTL ,from your kind advice and help, and as we have to collect the BRP  posted back to us only  in the UK i would appear

making an application from Thailand would not work and we must  return to UK before the 24th Aug to do all this.

thanks for all the links and your advice too glad we now have the right form from your kind help,i forgot to mention she has already got a new Thai Passport

with the new name in and a Certificate translated for the UKBI to see at the UK Airport.

Documents would need to be sent to the UK at the Office she originally received it at, being Croydon.

So if we did it by post from Thailand she would need to send her Passport to the UK

and it could take forever to get the passport back to Thailand causing problems for any travel back to the UK as we live there.As i am not sure how long they would take to process it all and supply new BRP,

Would you agree?

So may be best to return to UK  before 24 th Aug to sort it out from there and post docs with passport from there then.

 We are in Thailand at the moment My Thai  Wife who has ILR and Thai Passport (i am a UK Citizen)

We have some confusuion on what form to fill in for her recent first name change she has to report her name change and amend her Biometric Recidency Permit Card before 24th Aug 2016  do we fill in BRP(RC) Form as i can see many have done on other forums have OR do we fill in an No Time Limit Application ?Can we do any of this from here in Thailand?

I have written to Croydon to report the Change  and asked which form i should use but no reply . as we only have 3 mths to do .

The only response i have is from the BRP Error reporting email which explains the following (but from what i have read here this seems to be for people with a Visa wanting to transfer to BRP

or i may be wrong it seems very confusing to such a simple thing to do.) I quote:

Advantage Multi (put on the Neck of the Dog) appears to do both here is a link for the info Treat and Protect the only problem is finding it and making sure it's genuine.

I found out also from some kind help directed to a study that moxidectin, the active ingredient in Advantage Multi (topical) and Proheart 6 (injectable) is also effective against adult worms, possibly even more so than ivermectin.

For the record

"Treatment was initiated on SD 228 after patency had been confirmed." That means they started treatment with Advantage Multi 228 days (about 7.5 months) after the dogs were infected, and after verifying that the dogs did have adult worms.

Dogaware.com is very good website the author is very helpful on info and will answer emails and explains in detail options for Heartworm and other Treatment Conditions.

Heartworm preventive medications carry a warning that dogs should be tested before the medication is administered.

Here is a quote from the Author of the website who i quote with explaination

""Note that they tell you to "give monthly heartworm preventive medication," no further warnings other than concern about the initial die-off of microfilariae that can lead to anaphylactic shock if too many die at once. To the best of my knowledge, that's only a concern when giving milbemycin oxime (Interceptor, Sentinel), or if giving very high doses of ivermectin used to treat mange, as the rest of the preventive medications don't have as strong an effect on the microfilariae and so are not likely to cause problems from too many dying at once. I found this specifically about moxidectin""

Ideally, you would also give doxycycline for four weeks once a year as long as this dog may be infected with heartworms, as doxycycline makes the worms less dangerous, both while in the body and when they die, as well as making them unable to reproduce.

and Author goes onto say ""There is always danger when a dog is infected with heartworms. Anything that increases the dog's heart rate increases the danger, which is why they tell you to limit activity. Dead worms can cause pulmonary embolism in dogs and even death no matter how the worms die. Doxycycline reduces, but does not eliminate, that risk.""

I am a UK resident,

I have tried, with no success to Phone UKVI Croydon UK wanting to ask, what should be a very simple question and answer

Each time i call the UKVI on 0018 001 5620 78469 from Thailand .

The first call made yesterday at 20:30 (thai Time) Automated message said lines are now closed.

Called again today from Thailand 17:30 (thai time)Automated message said lines are now closed.

Anyone have any idea why the lines are closed ?

Are there any UKVI Immigration Officers that visit the Thaivisa Forum that could answer my Question ,as its pretty simple question.

The UK Consulate in Bangkok in email reply said they can only advise UK citizens as she only has a Biometric Residency Card and ILR living in the UK and has not applied for her UK passport as yet.
