Congress are still actively seeking access to evidence and witnesses that may well lead to a second impeachment.
After this fiasco, (Fiasco definition is - a complete failure.) I don't see the Democrats attempting to do this again. I would be willing to bet they wish they never got into this one.

I know the truth. He hasn't done anything other past presidents haven't done. Also, it hasn't been proved that he has done anything at all. It is just that the Lefties are making a mockery of the system and themselves to prove how inept they are on anything that has to do with running the government. Which is why, 2020 will be their demise.

Also, repubs spent months saying it was hearsay, not even 3rd hand. So if its that bad why call him.
to prove that is is/was in fact hearsay.

It would help if a large number of Thai drivers would learn that indicator lights are for indicating the direction of a turn or pull-over, and putting on flashing hazard warning lights does not mean 'I am going straight ahead'.
Way too many drivers just don't bother indicating at all when turning. Often, the first clue you get that a vehicle is turning is when the rascal slows down to 10km/h; stopping is generally only evident when a vehicle double-parks or just stops - my daughter believes they just stop when their pickup is getting old and they want you to to pay for a new one after you rear-end them - I think she's probably right too.
But that's what no learning process gets you I suppose. The ubiquitous 'geng mak' description really only means the driver knows which are the go and stop pedals, probably has no licence, never took any kind of lesson and is probably several years too young to drive. Any kind of roadcraft is usually absent. (Do you know what double yellow lines mens? Yep, it means the painters were too lazy to rub out the first one before repainting).
Bless 'em...
They don't want to use up all their "blinker fluid".

Did trump call him and ask him to investigate himself. Was he in on the calls. Was he in on the meetings?
The investigation is about what trump did. So anyone witness to that is relevant.
Really? Then why was he not allowed to call the so-called Whistleblower?

It could have been over on day 1. But its dragged on because of his obstruction. So he can stop complaining about it.
I must clarify. He doesn't need them for the Senate trial. He will be cleared by the Senate.

Better yet, name 1 witness the whitehouse allowed to give evidence.
You do know the difference between an investigation and a trial dont you?
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, former Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden, the anonymous whistleblower and anyone the whistleblower relied on to prepare the complaint alleging Trump solicited election interference from Ukraine.

Very easy for trump to have this finished since day 1. Allow his witnesses to the perfect call give evidence.
Ask yourself why he does not want direct witnesses to testify and clear him.
Doesn't need them.

20 hours ago, Ricohoc said:The question will continue to be asked. Witnesses to what exactly? Feelings? Presumptions? A different foreign policy agenda that upsets some bureaucrat?
There won't be any hearsay witnesses (like in the House), and I'm betting there will be no witnesses at all -- except maybe the only real witness: Sondland; and he's a better witness FOR Trump. Sondland already testified that Trump told him directly that he wanted nothing in return for aid to Ukraine.
The only thing for Democrats to hope at this point is that their drumbeat damages Trump in the election; but they're losing in that strategy, too. Trump has probably gained more support over three years than he had when elected, and that support is going to come from many different demographics.
It will be good to see the Republicans retake the House. Doesn't seem to be anything the Democrats can do to stop it. It must be killing them that Trump didn't start a war with Iran.

The House Democrats didn't allow the Republican side of the House to call any witnesses. Why should the Republican Senate allow it then?

But general Prayut keeps insisting that Thailand is definitely a 'Thai style' democracy and not a dictatorship. He gets very cross when people say otherwise. Though it must be said that the general is quick to be angered.
But, no freedom of assembly!
When will the Thai people ever learn?

That is not done at best.
It was not my opinion. It was taken straight from CNN's article. Isn't that the holy grail for you Libs?

You must be referencing what Pamela Karlan had to say. I don't feel she is very credible for one. For two she is biased against the president and was giving her own opinion. Nothing factual.

CNN Politics’ Fact Check pointed out that Escobar and Jackson Lee either changed or omitted the word “us” when quoting the transcript in the markup session. The word “us” is significant because it implies Trump was asking for a favor of national interest, instead of a personal favor against a political rival.

If you don't understand Trump's abuse, just imagine next time you go to get your visa extension the officer there says "We'll give you your visa extension. I would like you to do us a favor, though." Then he waits for your answer.
That used to be the norm here and still is in some places. Ever heard of a "visa agent"? What do you think goes on there?

You do realize that Iran has the capability to hit southern Europe with it's ICBMs? It won't be long until it is capable of hitting all of Europe. Now imagine a Nuclear capable ICBM. Europe will be Iran's slave. You will only exist to support whatever Iran wants. There will be nothing you can do about it. Because, Iran will use it. Have no doubts.
