Congrats on your find. Phra Khanong is a good location with W District down at the intersection of Sukhumvit, plus one stop to the On Nut shopping malls, Lotus and TOPS.
How far out 71 did you end up?
Hey thx a lot mate. Yep I know the area a bit, had beer at W district food court once. The place is about 1 km to BTS, so not bad really. If only they would accept 1 month deposit that would be perfect for me.

Thailand and specifically Bangkok is too expensive for your very limited means. Go back to your own country and get a job, save money and then retire to Thailand in the future if you find you can afford it. It boggles my mind how someone who's looking for an 8,000 baht apartment can consider themselves safe in a third-world country where health and safety hazards are multitudinous on every street and yet presumably you don't have comprehensive health insurance? And yet you want to rent a dirt-cheap room in the dangerous capital of a third-world country? You need a reality check.
Lol are you serious or just trolling? If you are serious, you are the one who should leave Thailand immediately, cause you are living in your small bubble, not in Thailand. And if you are just a troll, I respect the effort you put in your post. ???? You must be a sad lonely person who has a lot of time to write that kind of nonsense.

Thx all, except the person who said get a hostel.
I found a place at Suk 71. Furnished room with tv and fridge, 8000 per month. Although they don't require contract, they want 2 months rent as deposit, plus the actual rent.

Hi,
I'll stay in Bkk for a month and I'm looking for a room. But most places require at least 6 months of contract. Do you guys know any condos for about 8000 baht that doesn't require 6 month contract?
Thanks

Finding a monthly rental for about 8000 baht without contract
in Bangkok

Ok so I've checked into my place. It's a really nice, clean, big room with aircon, fridge, flat screen TV, microwave & kettle. The condo even has a mini swimming pool and a mini gym. The manager lady is very nice and friendly. Also it is only 1 month deposit, not 2 months, I got it wrong the first time. With water and electricity, it'll probably be something like 9000 baht per month. But even that makes 300 baht per day, a similar hotel room probably costs at least 1000 baht per day. There are 2 huge supermarkets 3 minutes walking distance, and it's just 1km walk to bts. Also about 800m to W District. So I'm quite happy. ???? Thanks to all who genuinely tried to help.
